This church has opened with Ole to Joy since the beginning of time and I must admit I never got tired of it. I think about the Cathedral this time of year especially because I grew up visiting there every Memorial Day weekend. What ever happened to the giant flag? Been there for Christmas Eve and other times of the year. Even met Heather Whitestone there when I was 11 years old and saw her perform for the Glory of Christmas. We were her special VIP guests. It was so cool!

There is no works without faith, and faith will help you in your works. You must “lean in” to your faith, and do works of faith. There are no recliner pews in a church - and if there is, you’re in the wrong church

Believe it or not, in an interview I watched with Mother Teresa, she had a fear that she was never doing enough for God and said it was reflects in her walk with Christ. She felt Christ was distant. Thus,her quote, “do everything and all for God.” came from that relationship. Hard to understand. It’s so hard for us to meet up to our own expectations of what we want to be in our relationship with God. Feel that same awkwardness about Mr. Rogers. There was a moment in my life that I experienced the total emptiness that George Forman speaks about. That was so devastating I would commit suicide if I had to live my life in that condition. I’m not afraid of death, but like Mother Teresa and Mr. Rogers I don’t feel I’m meeting God’s expectations of who I was designed to be. But I do feel God’s love. ❤
