I can’t thank you enough for this 2 videos, since the beginning of this quarantine the lack of motivation of working on proyects and the constant lack of sleep, has led me to do promiscuous behavior while being bored and alone. This content, along with your “The truth about the Pornography Industry” has given me a wake up call, and a solution to my problem. As you said it will be a very tough road, but I’m determined to walk through it and get near to the kingdom. Once again Thank you father, and may god help you, help others as you did with me, i send you a sincere hug. :D Thanks!

It's like exercising and rehearsing a beautiful though maybe not too simple piece of music. You sometimes will play out of tune. It won't help you if you start hating yourself because of that. Self-loathing just blocks your flow, putting you out of reach for a sudden helping hand. Stay focused instead, and let your hope support you if you feel like you can't manage. One day you will be able to play that music better than ever before!

Though you didn’t explain what “Holy” is I agree with you about forming good habits, and your example is a good example. One thing that I do is I rank the vices which ails me most. [The least I can do is know myself and be prepared when the hour of judgement arrives.] I do penance. Real charity or alms giving is one good form when you do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing as you do that charity. It took me a while to figure out that Bible verse for charity but I think 🤔 the Lord allowed for me to understand that real charity comes when you expect nothing in return. Every time I do not know my left hand that’s a miracle for me.

@The Lesser Confessor Thank you very much for remindig me why I stay away from chatolic bigotry and superstition. And by the way... no he was not an heretic. He was even cited in 2 encyclical. Even pretending to take seriously the story of the seminarian, correlation does not imply causation.
@cristineevangelio52234 жыл бұрын
@The Lesser Confessor he wasn't. granted that he inspired the new age movement, his philosophical ideas are still highly respected by scientists and philosophers alike. even pope francis quoted him in his encyclical Laudato si. The part where we discern in this world is everything is a gift from God as long as it helps us have a closer relationship with Him. all else must be rejected or set aside. 😊

God doesn't want you to be hurt, He just wants you to be honest. Hiding the bad things you do won't be any good for you. And remember that God is all-forgiving and loves you dearly. Remember the story of the Prodigal Son! No matter how many times you sin or how awful they are, yes, even if they were as bad as murder, God will always forgive you if you are honestly sorry and sincerely want to do better. It might be difficult now because of Covid 19, but if at all possible I encourage you to go to Confession as soon as you can. The grace of the sacrament has been a huge help to me, and I hope it will be for you too. God bless!

Dear Father and Viewers, at the e d if video there was reference to teilhard... please consider the magisterium's position as well Teilhard's publications were viewed with scepticism by the church authorities during his lifetime, and while the Holy Office did not place any of Teilhard's writings on the Index of Forbidden Books at any point, it did publish a monitum or "warning" in 1962, specifically against the then-recent popularity of the posthumously published works by Teilhard:[21] Several works of Fr. Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, some of which were posthumously published, are being edited and are gaining a good deal of success. Prescinding from a judgement about those points that concern the positive sciences, it is sufficiently clear that the above-mentioned works abound in such ambiguities and indeed even serious errors, as to offend Catholic doctrine. For this reason, the most eminent and most revered Fathers of the Holy Office exhort all Ordinaries as well as the superiors of Religious institutes, rectors of seminaries and presidents of universities, effectively to protect the minds, particularly of the youth, against the dangers presented by the works of Fr. Teilhard de Chardin and of his followers.

Why do so many Catholics pray only using the Lords prayer, when Christ specifies that we should pray in the same manner as Him? But His statement, "After this manner pray ye", inherently implies an example not retoric to be repeated as your own, when they aren't your words. Also why do you pray to the saints as intermediaries when Christ is our only intermediary? 1 Timothy 2:5. Also why do you not teach of the divinity of mankind, as taught by Christ in John 10:33-36.

Vices are not demons inside a person? I watched a sermon by Fr. Ripperger and am concerned that this is the case. I'm a fallen away Catholic trying to make my way back to God. A lot I don't understand. I was Confirmed as an adult in 1999. I have been involved in the new age in the past.

Fr. Can you please describe some acts contrary to Lust, Masterbation, pornography, or other forms of unchastity
@Mr052419484 жыл бұрын
Lust and masterbation are perfectly normal as is sexual desire . They are NOT vices unless they are used to abuse others.
@andrew-elkins4 жыл бұрын
Each time you look at a woman with lust, make the sign of the cross on your forehead and say, God thank you for making this woman beautiful, forgive me for looking at her with lust, help me to see her as you see her and reverse the stain of my lustful thoughts that I built with years of indulging and acting on my desires and abusing human sexuality that you created for good. Then I'd recommend finding a friend that you can text each day a number. Each day you don't masturbate or watch porn go to the next number if you break the streak you start at zero. That same friend who is your accountability partner tell them to hold you accountable and if you fail and they see fit give them $20 bucks. Good habits aren't immediately rewarding but reward you in the long term. Bad habits are immediately rewarding and are contrary to your long term goals. If you make a resolution to combat this stuff and stick with it over time and with many failures you'll make progress and it will become more and more infrequent. Your will eventually will become more like God's and you'll start to detest porn and masturbation. All that to say it's not going to be easy but you want to make your environment set up in a way that makes it harder to do the wrong thing and easier to do the right thing. Best of luck to you as you try to overcome this vice and know you're not alone. Pray daily and remember our Lord loves you and will always forgive you but he wants you to love him and hate evil. Don't be discouraged when you fail. Immediately say an act of contrition and a spiritual communion and experience forgiveness and the grace's of communion immediately. Then whenever you can get to a priest and confess your sins. Daily mass and communion along with all those other things have helped me.
