This is why your training videos are just so good. Simple, great videos that break down something into small bites, and shown repeatedly. And for a new (and older) offroad rider like me, these are really good, including this one on fear. Thank you so much.

Excellent tutorial, showing yourself, an accomplished rider, failing repeatedly gives the rest of us mortals hope! Well done.

Back when I raced MX, I found the same with jumping. Just start off small, (like a double jump), to work on technique until you get board of it. Then make the jump a little bigger, and repeat. Keep working your way up, bigger and bigger. I found that is the best way to learn. Once you are going bigger, nothing smaller intimidates you anymore.

When the video started, first thing i thought was, "I couldn't do that." So yeah, fear it is. Really enjoy the videos.

Thank you very much for all your learning content like this. It feels the most relatable for amateurs like me who just want to go riding on trails (and survive...😀) and not necessarily "MX racing". You're a great teacher having learnt it the hard way yourself, I'm sure. All the best with your new site!

@@megs_braap the world needs people like us Meg. This is our job now. Yeah we have our races to do and training n practice n free rides but as soon as someone approaches me I gotta go to work. I gotta inspire em. Every one of em. I had my first races last Monday, next month I’m invited back to watch 3 others in there first races. It’s an absolute honour to know there’s so many people who ride today after meeting me. It’s a great feeling hey..

Man, Megan can really get the in-the-head part so right. Megan, I'm riding a street-ish bike in off-road stuff, as an old, overweight, untrained person and every time you give advise, I get better. I hope my kids are watching you. I so hope you and Jocelin Snow make a video together. I want to see her mentoring you on a 600lb bike and I want to see you collaborating on dual-sport/dirt bikes.

If you ride MTB or BMX, this is a classic quarter pipe fly out. Not a bad idea to hit up a local skatepark, if you have the opportunity. Removing the worry of being crushed by a 250lb bike helps to concentrate on the technique.

I love doing this at my local skatepark whenever I'm cycling past and there's free space lol Theres even a dirt table top there bc the council ran out of concrete 🤣🤣

I noticed when u «hesitaded» your focus or vision was locked at the «failing point»instead of keeping your sight «forward» towards the desired destination. I often find it to kind of engage the autopilot in me, to look past the opsticle, if that makes sense😂? Could be im wrong about this but…
