Overcooked 1 is a lot harder. The scores for 3 stars are really unforgiving. Overcooked 2 is a lot better score-wise, and I think it's much more fun as a party game that way.

How does one "speedrun" a game with set timers? ...

from the description: Since most of the levels are a predetermined length, the only time you can save on anything except the final level is skipping text and maneuvering the overworld faster. In the final level, however, I predict it's possible to beat it in 10 minutes if you're very quick. At the end I waste at least 45 seconds accidentally baking a pancake instead of cooking it on a stove and I had to start over that recipe.

How is this a speedrun? I mean, all levels take a given amount of time.

Yeah, all the levels except the final one end after a specific time limit. Most of the speedrun is done automatically by getting 3 stars the first attempt. The only other things you can do really is skipping text, cutscenes (like the one at the start I forgot to skip), maneuvering the overworld quickly, and beating the final level faster.

I don't really get it. You can just beat the levels yourself, it's more satisfying than having someone else beat all the levels for you so you can sandbox. Then you'll have the same save file that you're asking for.
