Great video, just what I've been searching for. I've just bought my st line today in magnetic grey. Should be getting it in a few weeks. This video answers so many questions I forgot to ask the dealer and couldn't find online. Thanks for your time and trouble to put out some great info.

Hi, thank you for the comment. As the ST Line is not my car but Martin's, I can't comment on the MPG, however... Martin has had the car for a little over 12 months now, so assuming the weather is ok over the weekend, we will be filming a long term review of the car for episode 22. No doubt he will read this beforehand, if not I'll send a message to ensure it is a subject covered

They are nice cars, more practical than the older Mk 7 and also the EcoSport, which is still based on the older Mk 7 floorpan! Don't forget to check out part 2

On checking, the armrest can be specified at purchase, but may also be available to order from the dealership parts department. This though seems to depend o the dealer. Larger dealerships seem to know more and seem to be able to order this with a quicker delivery time.

The armrest comes with the Confort Pack, there is an aftermarket optional one from Rati, much interesting one as it provides a better support, and the case allow wireless smartphone charging ford-accessoires.ma/transport/syst%C3%A8mes-de-transport-internes/accoudoir/2227703?model=fiesta&year=2017

i want to get the St but im afraid that the paint will fade as im told dont buy red. i love the colour, what do you think of magnetic gray? i think looks good also 3 door vs 5 door?

Martin has found a few areas that need looking at with his car after two years of ownership (Nearly), though not as bad as the VW camper van we looked at (Shivers down spine!). Scientifically, red is affected the most for a number of reasons, though I'll not go into it here. The best thing to do is keep on top of the paintwork and use colour matching products when polishing or curling the paint back to original colour, though most original owners should never come across this. As for Magnetic Grey, I like the colour though there is also a mid metallic blue that the car looks stunning in, along with Ruby Red (Which Is less prone to fading as its a darker tone overall), but I do know Ford only offer the ST in a small range of colours (Of which one is performance blue, which personally I hate). Silver fox is ok, but if I were to choose one I'd probably plump for the Magnetic Grey, assuming the other colours mentioned aren't available

@@OverDriveOnline7921 thanks for your feedback, sadly the colours you suggest are unavailable, however race red, white, black magnetic Gray, silver fox, and performance blue are. im abit mix and match on the blue it looks stunning in the sun 🌞but then looked dull and boring like a standard chrome blue on a normal day with no sun, that you see on original fords. I just can't decide if I put the fade scare behind me I think it stands out perfectly well in red and suits the car, maybe it being base paint puts me off, as im thinking it's the rubish paint that's why it's free. The magnetic Gray has lovely metallic flakes too so it's a though one. What is your option on the 5 door?

I'm.not a fan of red cars normally, but the Fiesta does look good and the Ruby Red is just stunning I'm getting old...

Hi, yes we were at Scammonden Dam on that shoot, used it a couple of times. We got there and the place was empty, as we were doing the internal shot the place got busier and busier. Was a great day though with everything we needed shot before the masses descended.

@@foxmix8519it's not my car, but Martin likes it. As it's a 1 litre EcoBoost engine (Revised after cylinder head issues in the previous version), it does have a bit of a kick to it thanks to the turbo, but don't expect ST level performance. Handling though is good and more tuned than the regular fiesta range so definitely worth a look if you want something that looks different to the norm, but won't make you a target for joyriders

Adrian Maycroft funny you should mention that, we filmed a direct comparison last week for episode 24. The one comment I will make without revealing any spoilers is the 125HP car is the one to go for as a sweet spot.

I bought an ST-Line but did not want to fork out £600 for full LEDs. Part of me regretted it as the standard bulbs are a bit too warm/yellow for my liking. However, I have swapped these for a full set of Michiba Diamond White bulbs from LEDPerf www.ledperf.co.uk/pack-xenon-effects-headlight-bulbs-for-ford-fiesta-mk8-p-28301.html Brighter/whiter bulbs are available but I found the Michibas were (at £36 incl postage from France) a good balance of colour/price/performance/quality. Made a big difference imo and think the car looks much better with the whiter light to complement the LED running lights

Checked the spec and with the dealership the car came from, the surrounds are the same size bur the bitter screen has a smaller bezel and this isn't the bigger screen on this car. Had the X Pack been specified, that would have come with the bigger screen by default, all other ST-Line (And regular Fiesta's) have the bigger screen as an option.

I think Ford wanted to keep the overall look and evolve it a little. Redical changes don't always go down well with customers, for example Ford kept selling the Escort 2 years after the launch of the Focus as many customers didn't like the massive change between the two cars.

To be fair, all the even marks are, the mk 2 Fiesta was essentially the same as the mk1, same with the 4 and 3, the 6 and 5 and now the 8 and 7, changes to interior and exterior, but the platform underneath was the same. Same with the Sierra, escort, cortina and Granada, but I do see your point. Still think the headlights could be better though, a personal strong dislike of mine
