Overdue for service

Compressor not modulating Air / oil separator passing oil noted by the oil vapor escaping the inlet filter when compressor unloads . In this machine the inlet filter acts as the blow down muffler

I have to tear into one of these Sullair's on Monday...has the same issue...they thought it was a shaft seal, but just a lot of oil passing out of the blow down

old atlas copco i worked on once did this. had 25k hours mind you :)

How reliable are Sullair air ends?? I'm looking at getting a Vanair Viper G80 gas powered rotary screw compressor for my service truck and want aomething that will have a good life to.

Thank you. I'm familiar with the brand IR and that's about it. I usually rent a tow behind IR 185 but its too much machine for what I do. Looking around, I found that Vanair uses Sullair air ends, and I'm not familiar with the name.

What happens? Does it shut down when all the oils gone? How long would that take?

When the oil level gets depleted it's starts running hot and shuts down around 240 F How long depends on the load
