Al-Ghazali was one of the most prominent and influential philosophers, theologians, jurists, and mystics of Sunni Islam. He was of Persian origin.
Islamic tradition considers him to be a Mujaddid, a renewer of the faith who, according to the prophetic hadith, appears once every century to restore the faith of the ummah ("the Islamic Community").His works were so highly acclaimed by his contemporaries that al-Ghazali was awarded the honorific title "Proof of Islam" (Hujjat al-Islam).
Al-Ghazali believed that the Islamic spiritual tradition had become moribund and that the spiritual sciences taught by the first generation of Muslims had been forgotten. That resulted in his writing his magnum opus entitled Ihya 'ulum al-din ("The Revival of the Religious Sciences").Among his other works, the Tahāfut al-Falāsifa ("Incoherence of the Philosophers") is a significant landmark in the history of philosophy, as it advances the critique of Aristotelian science developed later in 14th-century Europe.

MASHA ALLAH THIS MAN, THE SPEAKER, WAS MY QURAN TEACHER. I REMEMBER I USED TO GO TO THE MASJID AND HE WAS MY MADARSA TEACHER!!!! SEEING HIM ON KZbin AFTER ALL THESE YEARS BRINGS NOSTALGIC FEELINGS...HE WAS MORE THAN A SIMPLE ISLAMIC TEACHER WHO TAUGHT QURAN. SHEIKH ABDUL RAHMAN HAD THESE REALLY GOOD STORIES THAT I REMEMBER TO THIS DAY THAN ANY QURAN LESSON. HE WAS A SCHOLAR OF GREAT MIND NOT JUST A MERE COPIER JUST TRYING TO GET STUDENTS BY FROM READING QURAN. TO THIS DAY IVE NEVER HAD A GREAT TEACHER LIKE THIS MAN. HE WAS REALLY AN EDUCATED PERSON

If you truly want the problem to get solved i have some tips for you. Remember one thing. It does not mater what the end result is. What mater is how much effort your putting in. Some can stop just like that, but for others it takes time. What ever your case may be. Know that your not ALONE and that if others suceeded, you can aswell. 1. Make an intention of what you want to stop with. 2. Write it down on something. 3. Write down what causes you to get lust for it.(time, place, scenario) 4. Write down how often you do it(per week) 5. Write down how you spend your time when not doing it/thinking of it. In essence this will make you realise how much you worship Allah on your "off time from sin". 6. Plan to increase your worship durning offtime.(Best way is to pray in masjid) 7. Set a limit on your sinning.(Decrease it with time). Set goals. 8. Work towards your goal by planning how to avoid/resolve what triggers you/build you up to sin. (3.) 9. Hate it EVERYTIME you fall for the sin. And emidietly pray 2 rakah and ask Allah for forgiveness. This point is the most important one. Because your niyyah is not truthfull if you dont ask for forgiveness. Sin makes the heart hard and the hardness will make you not feel regret. Only cure is to force yourself(jihad an nafs) to ask Allah for forgiveness, make duaa and tell yourself that Allah hates it so you do to.

Food is like dajaal. Deception. Making the good look bad and the bad look good. I do OMAD. Eat one meal a day. Alhamdulilah i have lost weight and more awakened. The food industry is all about the money. Invented the idea of breakfast, meal and tea and of course snacks and desserts. You don't need all this. Just one meal. Alhamdulilah

One suggestion for mufti sahab is that in this video when he talked about sexual desires he only considerd married people and completely neglected unmarried/single people who actually are suffering from this more than married people, because late marriages are common now. That is probably because he is married and his most of the companions are married too.

"Inshallah This verse of Quran will help you to control your desires:" *Most certainly those Believers have attained true success who perform their Salat with humility: who refrain from vain things: who spend their Zakat dues in appropriate ways: who guard their private parts scrupulously, except with regard to their wives and those women who are legally in their possession, for in that case they shall not be blame-worthy, but those, who go beyond this (in lust for sexual desires), shall be transgressors: who are true to their trusts and their promises, and who strictly guard their Prayers. These are the heirs who will inherit Paradise and dwell therein for ever.* Quran 23 Verse [1-11] *Do not even go near fornication for it is a very indecent flung and a very evil way.* Quran 17 Verse [32]

Sorry Sheik , I have my 2 cents into this , well . this speech should be for all "Scholar " and " Imam" , they are obese and unhealthy , they are no good example for our youth , hence the health of muslim community is declining years after years , what worries them is their bears but they forgot about their bellies , they should fix themselves first before preaching to others about Sunnah , Sunnah is not just about bears and shaving the private parts . All those Imams always wipe the community because we are bad , but they are worst. Saleem
