10:50 I've spotted this difference a few times: the stronger climber locks off and places the body in the final position before doing the hand move, while the less strong one has to just go for it from the initial position (where the upper handhold feels better) and then hold the swing after the hand move is done. Two things come to mind that can help: - Look for intermediates with the lower hand, sometimes even "non holds" help you reduce the swing in the middle off the move - Don't forget about the lower hand! Trying the static method while really pulling with the lower hand may show you that you can actually lock off and place your body in the end position.

One could say this is basically an example of dynamic vs static climbing. Dynamic costs less power, but requires more aim/precision, cause you have to hit and stick the target hold from speed. But on an onsight/flash, where you don't know the target hold quality, the static version is much less risky, if you can afford it.
