There is an excellent service manual for K1000, it's pretty easy to do.

Can you explain some of the details of how you cleaned the camera? For example, what you did with the paint (and what paint/substance you used) to make the black letters stand out more and what solution you used to clean the outside of the camera? Some steps that significantly changed the look of the camera would be great!!!

I got a K1000 when I was 12 years old. I LOVED that thing! Very cool to see what was inside it.

Hi. I have a bit of an issue with my shutter curtain and I'm pretty sure I need to remove the front to get at it. I've removed the leatherette and taken out the 5 screws, but it doesn't seem to come off-do I also need to remove the top plate? Any help would be much appreciated.

There were many steps that didnt make the final cut of the video. It's more of a 'highlights reel' than a step-by-step instruction video.

Hi. I have a big problem, I get a camera ASAHI PENTAX K 1000 completely dirty and corroded. The lens is stuck in the camera. The screws do not want to spin. The logo left the painting. I Download a PDF of the diagram, but the images are very bad and I can not appreciate them. What can I do to repair it?
@CRCHalifax8 жыл бұрын
Raul Rivera Sounds like a serious problem. might be more economical to replace it than to fix it.

@CRCHalifax what do you use to polish?
@CRCHalifax8 жыл бұрын
Elias Rangel We use our own special mix but the "leather" on the k1000 is more of a plastic substance. You can use just about anything on that particular model.
