I'll have to start with audio and video always being interests of mine as well as lighting, I've learned quite a lot through personal research over the past decade or two. I had to get into something that could pay bills involving a certain American delivery service that doesn't specifically involve packages. I have far much more knowledge of a lot of things that I could go further with and I'm now being put into a position of helping clean up the audio of the church that I've been at for a couple of years and really looking forward to the experience of putting my knowledge to use and hopefully build a portfolio off of it.

Thank you for the help you are providing to these churches because speaking out of experience (as a person who does sound at my local church) most of us are just winging it due to the fact that finding a person who have experience is extremely difficult and VERY VERY EXPENSIVE so we just have to do with what we have and can to get by. So these videos for me are not just for entertainment but also try to learn as much as I can

Wow This was an amazing episode, it was definitely worth the wait regardless of the copyright. I can't express how much I love watching these. I used to setup sound in my highschool chapel and we had the craziest moments working with little to deliver an amazing experience for the school church services. So these episodes strike at the very bottom of my heart. I watched you literally deliver the mix from grass to grace. Thank you for the humility you potray which has enabled you give your time to help out these churches. About the windows PC crushing, yep. That was a bummer. Happened to me while I was Livestreaming a high level event with a whole Minister for Health. I had never sweated in my life like I did. The mapping chart is an amazing idea for anyone going in blind, I'm really new to any of this and going in somewhere blind would give me a panic attack unless you can work out your outputs quickly before a show, the console re-routing took less time than someone having a quick snack, lightning quickness, honestly whenever Chris Hammill is in the building... your in good hands..we need a clone of you in the UK man, the work you do is so brilliant, the church sounded fantastic and amazing drone footage of Texas too!

something that is often overlooked is a church investing in things that make thier band perform better. This could be hiring a worship leader that can coach the team or investing in resources to make individual band members better. Often when mixing, the abilities of the band is the hardest ceiling to overcome. You can treat the room, optimize processing but you get out what you put in.

That's all I can think when I see some gear heads get so deep in the rabbit hole. Like dude, it doesn't matter if you have a $5,000 drum kit if you can't tune it or hit the center of the head.

For Wireless mics for the Pastor I tend to Colour code them (eg, Red HH, Blue HS etc). My patchist usually looks like; Inputs - 1- Kick 2- Snare 3- R Tom 4- F Tom 5- OH L 6- OH R 7- Keys L 8- Keys R 9- Bass 10- EL Gtr 11- AC Gtr 12- AC Gtr2 13- WL1 14- WL2 15- BV1 16- BV2 17- Viola 18- Cello 19-24- Spare or additional instruments 25- Blue HH 26- Purple HH 27- Grey HH 28- Red HH Outputs - 1- Drums 2- Keys 3- Bass 4- El Gtr 5- WL1 6- WL2 7- BV1 8- BV2 The Cello and Viola are usually last minuet things that I throw a SM57 in front of and they don't want IEM's.

Tried because all they had was a something like a 1980s Peavey PA-200 in a little loft I had to crawl to enter. I think it was something a little better than that, with maybe a 3-band, but oh man. Ancient powered mixer. That said, they had an amazing set of speakers and like 5 wireless Shure earset mics. Such a head scratcher. And I didn't even get to pet a horse. Sound guys love doing shit like that. Doodles everywhere.
I live less than 100 miles from this church. If they need some maintenance in the future and you’re unable to fly all the way out, I’m more than willing to help. ETA: I’m the FoH engineer at the Backyard Bar, Stage, and Grill, and freelance with a few bands on the road.

I’m sure they would love it if you reached out to them.
