sounded awsome last night, sorry you're getting crap about the low end, even if it's not to my liking i'll not say anything unless I'm in the room with you or on stage and it's directly affecting my performance, which it isn't. I'm just so grateful you're doing these FOH streams as I can't get out to a lot of gigs at the minute because my personal circumstances don't allow it and i've had to stand down from a few opportunities recently. can't wait to get back out there.

I have fought these windows issues before and they are terrible. Windows 11 makes it even worse by gutting the control panel and removing things that used to be easy to find. you probably could have reinstalled the entire OS in 45min, sometimes that's all you can do.

That laptop is sufficient, just delete the plug-ins with the most latency 🙈. And adjust for latency in the atem. This is a swing and a mis.
@chrishammillaudio
@chrishammillaudio 2 күн бұрын
It’s not a question of latency. There are no plugins installed on this computer. The issue is windows doesn’t recognize the outboard gear despite having the correct drivers installed. Your “gotcha” attempt is a swing and a miss.

Not to be negative I love your videos and I know it wasn’t your fault but that may have been one of the worst sounding snares I’ve ever heard in my life and it wasn’t you it was the tuning of the actual snare. I have no complaints with the way you run Sound. And the fact the snare sound changed from band to band ended up having a tight and snappy snare unless it was a trigger lol
@chrishammillaudio
@chrishammillaudio 4 күн бұрын
Drummers bring their own snares, so it's on them to tune it the way they want.

Those clips were so terrible I thought it was just the venue, cause half of the few arena shows I've been to have sounded pretty bad. But when you cut to Paul McCartney and Rammstein it was shocking. There's almost no echo compared to Metallica sounding like the entire band was being routed through a reverb pedal

I really needed this. In the Philippines, it's harder for independent musicians to find gigs(especially me who now leans on instrumental music and want to let it be known). I basically almost have all the equipment need to form a band but the worst part of all of this is is the thought, "who do I reach out to about this?". A very timely post indeed. Maybe the YT algorithm saw my current frustration this podcast came up. Thank you to everyone involved. I look forward to the next video.

3:43 ahhhhhh you mean the part where we pull out the strip tape and sharpie !!!, no, but for real when I can tell on this console is that assigning channels is already a lot easier once in my opinion will eliminate the need of strip tape , but you know how them festivals get multi bands in one day it gets hard , but for recording it fully makes sense , I’ll make sure to go watch your other video of this consol in action in a live setting at dingbats next !

Coming from a predominantly orthodox Christian country, and having lived in California for a month, it was then and still is a major mindscrew for me seeing western churches as places for actual social - as well as religious - congregation with music, church bands, electronic equipment, and people just mingling after the service and cheerfully talking to each other. Biggest culture shock for me was probably finding out that the church I visited in Cali had public Wi-Fi. Where I'm from the churches are all places of solemn contemplation, general quietness, mostly opulent interiors, high domes and a cappella choirs. Very fun to see such work carried out in a religious institution. Big respect.

I use all Audix mics on my drums. D6 on kick, D6 on floors, D4 on rack toms, and D2s on high toms, i5 on snare top and bottom and ADX51s on cymbals. I DO also use a Shure Beta 91A inside the kick as well. They never disappoint.

Indeed the sound was bad. Stadiums are made for Football and soccer, not for rock concerts. I think that there are stadiums that generate some reverb/echo that can affect the sound quality of the band. Probably, in other stadiums, its sounded better
