Good work it looks pretty nice, I just rewrapped a Ludwig kit and a canvas back glitter wrap. It's actually a material for arts and crafts but it works really well for drum wrapping. It was pretty easy to do all I use was carpet tape for both ends and no other glues because the hardware keeps it in place

I have a large badge Tama Imperial Star. It has a tin type of wrap that cracked and is coming off. In your opinion is it worth rewrapping it? I love this wrap you have used where can one get it if I decide to do it.

I got this particular wrap off eBay from the merchant Paperstreetplastics. A 2ft x 10ft roll costs about $40 after shipping and was enough for this project. Do the floor tom, rack rom and the kick (in that order). In my opinion, your Tama Imperial Star is absolutely worth re-wrapping!

Awesome job! That razor trick for trimming by the bearing edge is awesome lol What did you do about the airvents/badges?? Im doing a Tama imperial and the grommets for airvent are the permanent style - how would you get these off and go about replacing them??
@JDogTheDrummer3 ай бұрын
@@damiangraham3649 the badges were spray painted along with all of the hardware. I soaked them separately in hot water and dawn dish soap, and used a stove top sponge to scrub the paint off. The badges are screw mounted so putting them back on was relatively easy. The vents on this OCDP kit were flanged, so I used a countersink drill bit to strip it out. I then expanded the existing hole with a rotary sanding tool until it was just big enough to fit a threaded vent. For your Tama, I would use a countersink drill bit to take off the vent and use dental floss to take the badges off. Finding a replacement vent that’s built into the badge will probably be challenging- best I can suggest is go either on eBay or Amazon, get a little bit of each vent size your budget allows until you find one that fits. Worst case scenario, you might need to expand the hole a bit in order for the new vent to fit. Hope this helps!

How has the material held up over time? Durable enough?
@JDogTheDrummer2 ай бұрын
@@cletuschrist I have other project overhaul kits that preceded this one. Including this kit, they’ve all held up. I still recommend hard or soft shell cases for transport

@@JDogTheDrummer Awesome thanks! I'm looking to re-wrap an old Tama kit and proper drum wrap is just so much more expensive than a lot of the vinyl on the market.
