This is my dozer! And the 3rd one I have bought from C&C! They have fixed it and it runs awesome! These guys are hands down the best company ever. Clinton goes way above and beyond in customer satisfaction as you can see in this video. My first dozer from them was a 450J the 2nd was a 550K both with forestry package and perfect dozers. This one I just mentioned that it was getting warm and he said bring it back and I'll take a look, and you can see what taking a look means to Clinton! He truly went above and beyond! Thank you, from a very grateful client. Dean.

This will bring you more customers. It’s hard to find ethical and professional companies these days.

As a 40+ year Individual Journeyman Machine Repairman, I’ve had great results by checking the temperatures as soon as it starts from cold. Pump, valves etc. as you know,The internal leakage will generate heat. So there’s a greater temperature difference at start up.

Had an issue similar to this on a 980c loader. The dealer and the mechanics kept saying I was working at too hard is why it was overheating. We took it into their shop and we got a season mechanic who try change the vent on the hydraulic tank problem solved and $80 part and we probably spent close to $3,000 trying to solve the problem. Now I routinely clean the vents on any machine I'm running.

That machine can be ordered with a cooler, from Deere. I’d recheck it and make sure it’s not equipped with one and if not, install one. Maybe he’s using it hard enough to require one. It doesn’t make any sense that a cooler wouldn’t be installed on the machine as part of the OEM package but only as an option… that’s stupid.

Funny I was going to mention a MT or PT test. (Magnetic partial test or penetrant test). You can pick up a dye penetrant kit at a welding supply. It’s a 3 can kit. Cleaner, dye, developer. Works really well. Used it for years working on oil storage tanks and Pipelines. It’s not expensive and it’s a quick test. You should have a couple cans around for sure. It’s well worth it.

You look just like my nephew that every time I watch your videos, I think of him. He is a great kid/man and is probably about your age. Glad you found the problem. Hydraulics can be very deceiving. I had a problem that looked like an electrical problem because it was repeatedly extend and retracting a cylinder over and over again. Come to find out it was a relief valve out of adjustment. After further investigation we found out that it was the operator intentionally adjusting the relief valve so he would not have to run the machine. When I got thru with him, he transferred to another plant.

You can use Dye Penetrant Inspection paint. It consists of three agents, 1) Red Dye, 2) Cleaner, 3) White Developer. You apply a cleaner to the surface, then a Red Dye, wipe off the dye and then you spray it with a White Developer. If there is a crack the dye that is in the crack will show up easily as a red line in the white developer. Inexpensive process and very easy to use. Way to stay with the problem until fixed. Says volumes about your ethics. Thanks for sharing.

To look for the possible crack in the valve body you might want to consider taking it apart and strip it down and then place it in a oven at 225 degrees for about an hour or so to make sure the valve body is up to temperature and then check it for cracks
@opendstudio7141
@opendstudio7141 9 ай бұрын
U.V. Penetrant or Magnaflux inspection would reveal any cracks or fatigue in a no load condition. The special equipment is a bit pricy to own and in this instance, impractical. But, an alternative is have a machine shop conduct the parts inspection. Always good to have a buddy close by in Indiana who owns a machined parts manufacturing business.

The easiest way to find cracks in cast valve bank sections I’ve found is to clean and dry them really well and run a torch across them, either the edge of the crack will turn bright red because the material is so thin or you’ll notice oil start rising to the surface and revel raking the size and shape of the crack

I run a 982m cat loader at work, we've been having trouble with the hydraulic oil getting hot 210 degrees, the mechanic wouldn't do anything till it throw a code, i finally worked it hard enough to get it to the 220 range where the code throw is. The mechanic camecout and used his temp gun. He found a major change in temperature at the valve that is much like a thermostat on the cooling system. It wasn't opening to send the oil through the oil cooler. He changed thatvpart and now normal operations the oil is 130 to 140, the hottest I've gotten it is 155.
