Hello. In Melodyne, does anyone know if there is a way to give more contrast to the lines of the grid to adjust the tempo of the notes to be edited? Sometimes it is not well distinguished.
@NioSebez2 жыл бұрын
As VSTi: In spanish, (sorry, my melodyne is in spanish). Asignaciones----->preferencias----->Look----> Contraste más alto. As standalone version: File | Preferences | User Interface | Look

Thank you, I was just beginning to fret over the lack of visibility concerning the grid lines, no I can see and improvement.
@thesongmill Жыл бұрын
Yup, that was the issue we're having but man, even changing the contrast you can still barely see the lines. They need to do something to make it much easier to see the time bars. We really appreciate you covering this, thank you!

This certainly helped me. Thanks so much for this. For this situation I was fixing a timing issue with a guitar but I am learning to correct some minor pitch issues in vocals as well. Again, thanks so much for this. Really, really helpful. I subscribed as well.

Hey. Working with chords. I'm trying to type in chord names along the top time grid. However I need smaller resolution. No matter what I set the TIME GRID too 1/16 1/32t ect, it has no effect and I cannot add a break point. In fact I seem to only have 4 snap points between each grid line. Any ideas?

Holy $#!* BROTHER... You KEEP on SAVING me in MELODYNE?!?!? Who in the Hell designed this thing, Edward Nygma?!?! LOL

Ha! I know. For as amazing as it is with what it can do, (I mean this thing is voodoo) it sorta misses the mark on some of the smaller stuff. Still, it's my go to!

@@AdamClairmont I certainly learned a lot over the past 14 hours. I'll say one thing for Melodyne... It's my new "Goonies Adventure". Either it will bring me to reign over former production hurdles... Or it will murder me via boobytrapped bridges or skeletal symphonic organs or something FAR more OBSCURE! LMFAO

@@AdamClairmont That's awesome! I am LITERALLY sitting here trying to figure out what the difference between "Assign Tempo" and "Tempo Edit". I think to myself: "If I edit the tempo, am I not reassigning the tempo... If I assign the tempo, am I not editing its current state... ...Is the the level of cryptographic language and inverse processing by which is required to solve something such as "The Davinci Code?" I mean, a brother just wanted to take an 8 second sample, push it to the DAW, get a tempo map, and extract chords to also try out EZdrummer. I was then gonna toss a lobster in the steam oven and treat myself to a meal fit for a king... ....As it stands, I haven't made it to the store, and I am beginning to ponder whether I deserve a can of sardines. ALright, thanks for allowing me to rant. Put me back in coach!!! I'll put a tag on my own to before I ever think about quitting. THis noob has WAY too much to learn!

0:42 "Obviously everybody knows how to use the pitch grid"... Um... You might want to reconsider that statement. That's the trouble with so many KZbin video creators ... they assume that things are "obvious". Side note... please get rid of that awful ear-defining intro. You will lose a lot of viewers right there. 😱
@OveritStudios3 жыл бұрын
Hey sorry about that, not trying to exclude anyone. Melodyne's number one function is tuning, and that grid is the reference. If you have a question about the grid, happy to make a video about it. Thanks for the feedback.
@DeutschlandGuy3 жыл бұрын
@@OveritStudios Thanks for for your reply, Adam. My comment was not about the pitch grid in particular... it was more about throwing around the words "obviously" and "everybody". Instead of saying "Obviously everybody knows how to use the pitch grid", perhaps something more like "Most of you Melodyne users are probably already somewhat familiar with using the pitch grid..." might be a little more appropriate. As teachers, the way we word things is important. That is, we should not assume things are "obvious to everybody". Keep up the good work on your videos. They are indeed very helpful, especially simple little tricks like this which can make life easier for beginners and seasoned Melodyne users alike. 👍

Two things that stop me in my tracks and make me immediately shut down a video (and look elsewhere) are: 1. An irritating "signature intro" that blasts my brain out. 2. Any video that begins with the unimaginative "Sup everybody?" At least you (barely) passed muster on #2 ... Not so much on #1. (People don't like having their ears blown out when they are simply looking for a bit of technical information.)
@OveritStudios3 жыл бұрын
Ha! Okay, sorry that 5 second intro ruined your day... Hope the rest of the video worked for you :)
