Fantastic video! I find a nice embellishment to the verse, particularly the last time it repeats after you've built up the energy and widened out the chords, is to change up the 2nd string. Rather than anchoring it with the 4th string and descending 7 7 5 5, I bring it down 7 5 5 3. Takes a bit more chord switching but I think it sounds really nice.

Great song. Colin Hay is so good. Great voice Justin. Dang. This how I want to, play it. Tried last year and couldnt get it quite down. I'm much better with getting cleaner in the stranger different open chords. Really worked hard getting out of that stuck in my rut level. I will study what you did here. Alway like your lessons . For the first chord (D), how do you keep your 3rd and 4th fingers "anchored" when your first finger moves back one fret? Also I cannot get the middle open string (G) to sound. These chords sound so rich but they're hard to play in rhythm. I know you said to start out playing just the 4th and 5th strings at first. Any advice? Great song, by the way.
