I've experienced it way back in the 90s. There was a demo truck with wall of speakers in front of Las Vegas convention center during CES (consumer electronics show). That was almost 30 years ago. I can't imagine today's system. I bet it is more powerful.

I got the same head unit as in the last clip. It's not bad. Mine clips at 61/62 on the volume so I got my gains set for 60 as 0dB. It does everything you need a head unit for and has 6 channel 4V line level pre-out on the rear. Sub channel is unfortunately forced to have lowpass of 125Hz or lower so for DSP it would probably be better to use front/rear but other than that minor issue it's a solid head unit with good sound quality.

Sundown Audio is my go to for subs. I have a pair of SA-12's I need to do a box build for to go in my car. I wonder what makes bass so addicting. My dad always had subs when I was younger and I thought about it when I first started driving but never got into it. My uncle gave me a cheap pair of subs and since then I've been hooked. I upgraded to JL's, which I think are awesome when it comes to SQ, but expensive. Now I've switched over to Sundown Audio for some more dB's, and you get more bang for your buck. I'll probably move on to their U series as an upgrade in the future.

I respect these builds I know what it takes to do builds like this but personally I go for sq/spl! I prefer to be able to actually listen to music they way it was meant to be heard but really loud. That’s why I have Focal 165 krx2 mids highs ran active off a alpine 3 way capable HU and a set of DC audio 12’s Lvl4’s and a DC 2k and 175.4 on the focals. It is loud as hell but sounds pristine when turned down to about 75-80% of max. But this is in a Chevy Cruze so it can still get extremely loud on some rap or playing just sign waves but my box is tuned to 32htz so I doubt it would meter real high. About 37htz seems to be the peak I haven’t measured it but that’s when it feels and sounds the loudest playing a sign sweep.

Lol makes me think of when I set my 2 10s in my friends car and was like alright, now to turn it up but it was already maxed out, it had so much output on 300watts rms that it put our eyes into a constant motion blur, I mean 30feet infrontof the car just had a 3" blur up and down
