Overkill is an American Heavy Metal band, formed in 1980 in New Jersey. The band has been active since 1984, releasing 15 studio albums, 2 EPs, 2 live albums and a "covers" album. The band also has a notable mascot (named Chaly), a skeletal bat with a skull-like face, bony wings, and green eyes. It has appeared on most of their album covers. Overkill has gone through many line-up changes, with singer Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth and bassist D.D. Verni remaining as founding members. Along with Anthrax (whose one-time lead guitarist, Dan Spitz, was also an early member of Overkill), the band is one of the most successful East Coast thrash metal bands.

Yup. Bobby Gustafson is one of the best bro. The album this is off of, Under the Influence, is one of the premier and greatest thrash metal albums ever. 9 tracks of pure shred. If you haven't already, chk it out dude. You will likey!!

Seen them twice back in the early 90's. Won tickets from W.S.O.U. both times. The first show at the Ritz in NYC was crazy. My ears were damaged to the point where I still have tinnitus. lol.

I agree 100%. Way better. And pure thrash metal, no commercial b.s. Under the Influence album is a must for every metal fan period. I've listened to it 1000× and it still melts my brain everytime. The best!!
