Sorry but as a veteran DC-9 pilot and instructor, it’s a terrible release, in fact it’s now removed from the JustFlight store, don’t waste your money until they get an acceptable version out, for that price this is unacceptable!

That DC-9. Boy it just was not ready for release. Oh and charging PMDG prices for what is being offered is beyond ridiculous. Classic jet airliners are nice to have but come on, at least make sure they actually can fly for more than a few minutes and look decent. Heck, Captain Sim planes at least fly for more than 10 minutes without the engines shutting down. JF pulling this from their site does say volumes about this aircraft (although it is still available @ Simmarket).

Right now I have a love/hate relationship with MSFS 2024. I am so fed up with all the crashes in the game I do not even know if it is worth playing anymore. I did an online flight the other day from MSP-LAX, just after passing Ontario about 25 miles from LAX and the sim just CTD for no reason at all. Completely frustrated by the entire thing. That happens when I play career mode as well, just random crashes for no reason. I have since uninstalled everything related to 2024 and did a clean install from the ground up. I have yet to test it out because I am still so frustrated from the previous flight. It is such a pity that we have come so far in the sim world and yet, at times it makes me want to go back to FS9/FSX/ and P3D. I NEVER had crashes like I experience now with 2024. Just mind blowing that as we advance in technology you would expect it to get better, but we have gotten worse.

For the 777-200 might skip this one and wait for the 747 next year. I’m more of a freighter flyer anyways that’s my favorite thing. I wonder what’s in the PMDG code that is giving them issues. A lot of developers have been able to bring their plane over with minor updates. Just interesting. I’m a 2020 flyer anyways but just curious.

I think the marketplace needs refinement, and the ability to report. I do my research when purchasing products, but many do not. The DC-9 is nothing more than a slightly modified freeware plane from over 10 years ago with quality to match. Stuff like this, Bredok 3d, MScenery should not be allowed on the marketplace, or placed in a “trash market”.

Yes you are correct, I flew the DC-9 for years and that is nothing like the real DC-9. No wonder it’s been removed from the JustFlight store. This is just crazy

im so extremely frustrated hearing the PMDG msfs2024 news, i just cannot go back to 2020, i had too many stutters and issues and i had to turn down the settings way too much and it looked quite crappy plus the space issues were extreme lol. so sad about pmdg

I really do have a love hate relationship with PMDG. They write their own code (their custom parking brake was a classic example) and then when MSFS gets updated or MSFS24 gets released and breaks their custom coding it's Microsoft/ASOBO's fault. A cynic might think they're playing these difficulties up to try and justify being one of the very few developers who will charge an 'update fee' for a MSFS24 compatible product.

Stay far away from the DC-9...horrible. Saw a few streams when it was released and it is absolute garbage. Some switches are reversed, engines stopped on a few streams mid-flight...not good. Plus, it doesn't even appear on the Just Flight website for purchase.

I will Never buy another PMDG again. It took two years to get a working release on the last one. What a SCAM. Kick rocks
