Simon, nope. I haven't applied for an OT pass this year. Though I'm still looking to volunteer again ( future video coming of OT Volunteer we did last year ).

Ha, another person who does the business socks. I started in them, then moved away to fancy merino's and the like and then eventually came back to the old business socks. That's impressive in getting your food down to 3.5. Experience pays off.

Sg, the sport/business sock approach has science behind it. I swear by it. And S.A.S. soldiers swear by it to prevent blisters, as it allows foot & sock movement. I've read plenty of SAS soldier books and its a common approach with them - and those guys are hard & tough. So it's not as silly as it sounds. With the food, we've often found on longer multi-day hikes that we don't end up eating as much as we thought we would. So you really need to be hard on yourself to stop yourself from bringing too much junk food - like we have done plenty of times in the past. Thanks for watching.

Walked it 4 times now, still enjoy this great walk. 20kg with the bombproof pack is bloody good IMO

Thanks Brissi. I'll never aspire to be one of "those ultralighters". They can keep their 10kgs packs. I'll sleep easier knowing I have everything I need to keep me warm & safe. :)

Hey mate, I enjoy your videos.. Have you considered the south coast track?
@two_in_tasmania3 жыл бұрын
Michael, yeah, I would absolutely love to do the SC Track. It is definitely on the to-do list as soon as I can. There are plenty of tracks down south that I/we haven't got to yet. We will at some point. Thanks for watching.

Enjoying the Oveand vids. Summer season went on sale at 9 this morning and Nov-Feb is already booked solid! As well as Most of October and the first half of March. I booked in for Oct 28. First time doing it so wanted to be as close to summer as possible

JOH129672, yeah I was watching this today with interest. It's almost a spectator sport clicking refresh to watch the spots available disappearing. You did well to get in for late October. It was gone within minutes. Hope you enjoy your hike. And thanks for watching.
