I was in the Guads for 4 days for a rescue training in winter in 60-80 mph winds and snow it was miserable but still amazing lol. The Guads are brutal but still worth it and I love living near them. Also, unfortunately, SE NM is a trash dump for more than litter from workers, visitors and locals around the camp sites but nuclear waste and oil and gas waste ... It's just perpetual... There are local groups and events every year that get the community together multiple times a year to clean up the river, all the caves and sinkholes, sensitive areas, etc...

That’s awesome, definitely a perfect place for training. Those winds were no joke! I hate hearing that, if I’m ever in the area when a cleanup is going on I would love to contribute. Even though I’m a Texan I love and appreciate all of New Mexicos public land

Nice video, really like NM, it's my favorite destination. I'm in South Central Texas so it's quite a drive. The people there are nice for the most part but don't seem too crazy about Texans. I get it though, they don't want to lose what they have.

Thank you! Yea New Mexico is awesome, I get out there as much as I can. Yep unfortunately some Texans give us all bad reps in other places. Same I would cherish every square inch of public land if we had some in Texas lol

Such a Beautiful place. Amazing views. We have to keep our water and camping spots clean. It makes me happy to see you cleaning up other people's trash. Another Amazing Video. Subscribed! 🤘🏼🙌👏🤝

Yes respecting the land comes first! I hate seeing places trashed out like that. It’s not much but every bit of cleaning up helps. Thank you 🙏🏼 !!

Thanks for great vid. Looks like kool spot! Is there any fishing to be done there?? Enough to cook on site?? Also, THANK YOU, for picking up the trash there!! Pisses me off to go somewhere, and to have to see how some people treat our land, is sickening!! No reason for it.. I always carry extra trash bag or two, just for these instances.. use to canoe the Buffalo River in Arkansas, several times a year.. always end up with bag trash, left behind.. Thanks again for vid

Thanks! Yea it’s an awesome area, desert rivers are always pretty cool. I didn’t have any gear with me but there was fish jumping left and right when the sun was setting. I’m sure you could get on em pretty good out there. Yes the trash really gets me. Its gives us all a bad rep and puts the cool places in risk of being shut down. That’s awesome I wanna make my way to Arkansas one of these days

Good deal cleaning up that mess. I hate people leaving their trash. It does ruin it for everyone. I was in Albuquerque one time for work. Had to go into the mountains. Woke up, it was 70 degrees, threw on a short sleeve shirt. Drove north. When I got to the work site it was snowing. 😂. All my coworkers were asking where my jacket was. I told them, I’m a flat lander from Texas, never seen anything like that.

the worst thing is when you get somewhere pretty like right next to that river and people have it trashed af. I live in WA state and I go into the woods and for some reason it seems like people take their end of week trash bags and throw em in the middle of the woods, like how? wouldn't it be faster and cheaper if you just put it in your can? Like come on! I hate that people do that. Other than that, that river spot was incredible! When I go into the woods I do the same and try and find somewhere with a river flowing. I love your truck :D

For real man! I absolutely hate that. Nothing worse than those people , they ruin it for us! Thanks! It’s a cool spot, definitely gonna do some fishing next time. I appreciate it 🤙🏼

Man, some good drone flying and editing. Been to all these places multiple times so it was cool to see another perspective. One trip I stopped at 5 points vista and had 50 to 60 mph wind coming up the wall out of the valley. Amazing. Just south of 5 points and down a narrow 2 track to the east is a very good, secluded and wind protected camp spot, hint. Have you made it to Dark Canyon Lookout Tower?

Thanks man! I appreciate it 🤙🏼 that’s wild, sometimes that wind gets pretty bad out there. And fast! No I haven’t made it out there yet! It’s on my list though lol

What’s the offset on your wheels? Where’d you get those side boxes in your rack? And how many cameras are you using to get the shots you get? I’ve been watching your videos for a minute now, I also live in Texas, they’ve been helpful in planning trips to come.

I grew up in every are this video shows,unfortunately people have trashed the Pecos,Brantley lake and Avalon lake for decades,my father actually helped build Brantley reservoir back when I a toddler,I live in Texas again understand your frustration that we don't have BLM land to enjoy like New Mexico does,if you ever want to meet up for a camp & ride up in Queen,just hit me up.

@bfm_overland I have friends in the overland community that still live in Carlsbad, They get together when they to go clean up as much trash as possible, that site in the video is nothing compared to some of the more popular swimming and camping spots that are just inundated with garbage, can swim in the water without shoes on or you'll cut your feet on broken beer bottles under water.
@IAdvs14 ай бұрын
*Can't swim without river shoes on.

The sad part is that it was probably Texans that left the trash there. They do it all of the time here in Texas. Sad.
