Amazing adventure! Thank you for sharing. I love that Milky Way video section. Of course, the entire video was breath-taking.

I've done a fair amount of off-roading but that road was crazy!! Good job! That campsite you had at the Doll House was incredible . . but that view of the Colorado River at the end was unbelievable! Breathtaking! Thanks for taking us along on that hair raising ride! AND, your music was perfect for the video! Also - you got some really good shots! That Milky Way shot was awesome!! !

Thank you! As our first full-length video we consider this one to be a little rough… Appreciate hearing that it resonates with people and the moments they appreciate. Thanks for the feedback!

Some awesome footage. Happened to see your video because of the Dollhouse. Really neat to see it. It is some drive in there! Not sure I’ll ever get there at my age but you never know. We have hiked all over southern Utah and still going. Thanks for sharing your adventure.! 😀👍

We've been surprised by this video for sure. Technically it's our worst (being one of our earliest), but people seem to love it! It really is a fantastic trail. Thanks for watching and appreciate the comments!

Appreciate the feedback. We feel like this is technically our worst video, but we wanted to create what we couldn’t find on YT - a video detailing the obstacles you would encounter on the trail. Lots of people get in trouble on this one. Have fun and be safe!

Looks like a great trip. To me overlanding is a convenient marketing term :) I use it myself to find gear, but would never refer to myself as an overlander, regardless of how far or how long I was camping.

I think this is the first time I've seen a swing away tire carrier on a pick up truck. That is cool.

Yeah - we love it! The high clearance it offers has made a big difference and the fold down table for our stove is awesome! Check out the build video on the Tacoma for more details on both the bumpers.

I'm really enjoying your film making. That still shot of the storm light was epic, and it's great to see the challenges. Is your taco lifted? What size tires are you running? I have a 4-Runner OffRoad Premium, with 265R17s on it, and I'm wondering if clearance would be a challenge. What size tires are you running and how much lift?
@FurthurOffRoad3 жыл бұрын
Check out the details on our rig in the "That Slow Build" vid we put together. Still running the same size tires, 285/70/R17. We did have to do some trimming and a cab mount chop to fit them. Not sure what clearance issues 4Runner owners deal with, but would expect at least a little trimming. Thanks for watching, and the positive feedback!

Great video. I agree with you on the term "Overlanding" I almost cringe whenever I hear it now 😂

More so since we made this video. The more people we meet who do this, the more we see that there’s a million different ways to travel and camp, and no one moniker fits for everyone’s style. We say less marketing, more camping (however you do it)!

Good video, beautiful scenery. I would recommend a wind sock on a microphone for the narration in the wind. Also, the volume of the music is too loud in relation to the level of narration. I assume this is a trip up from the south at Rt 95 as opposed to down the Flint Trail. And Overlanding is about as useful a descriptive term, much like Bikepacking describes bike touring off road, Backpacking, etc.... when you say you are Overlanding I know immediately you are probably not in a Winnebago in a developed campground.
@FurthurOffRoad3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Steve. Agreed that we definitely needed a wind muff for our mics on this trip. This being the first video we released we were not quite as geared up as we are now. Hopefully we've resolved some of these sound issues. It's been something we have been focused on improving for sure. Check out the newer videos and let us know what you think!

That’s quite a rugged road to the Doll House. Don’t have a capable rig? Canoe (don’t use a raft on that mostly flat water section) the Green River for 5 days from Mineral Bottom to Spanish Bottom, just before the confluence with the Colorado River. Climb / hike the switchback trail from the river to the Doll House. A Moab shuttle outfitter will drop you off upstream and pick you up in their giant jetboat at Spanish Bottom and run you back up the Colorado to Moab. Bonus: that section of the Green is motorless, no noisy jetboats for five days. Beware of high winds on the river. Hint: stop and explore Turks Head on the 3rd or 4th day.

I'm surprised this video didn't show the next hazard after the one at 13 minutes. Made it through it the 13 minute problem, but about 1/4 mile or so past that it was too steep & I just spun wheels so I turned around. I eventually ended up camping at Maze Overlook.
@FurthurOffRoad9 ай бұрын
The video is super long as-is. I’m guessing the next obstacle just had to get cut for time… Sorry you didn’t make it all the way. The trail changes character maybe three or four times. Still one of our favorites in the area.

How challenging was the trail? I'd like to bring an Off-Grid Trailer behind my Jeep out to Doll House.
@FurthurOffRoad3 жыл бұрын
It's challenging in spots for sure, so give yourself plenty of time. There are some narrow places where you would have to be very careful with a trailer, but I have seen other folks with trailers make it. Good luck out there!
@az-chris11363 жыл бұрын
@@FurthurOffRoad Time is definitely a necessary commodity when venturing into the Maze. The whole point of dragging a trailer is so that the time spent is more enjoyable! I'm recently retired, so I'm not worried about using up all my vacation time anymore. If the chief concerns are narrow portions of the trail, I can live with that (provided there are no sharp turns in the midst of the narrow passage), it's the rough and steep terrain that would give me pause with an off-road trailer. I'll be towing with a diesel Jeep JL Rubicon on 37s. Thanks for the reply!
