Great video! I’ve got reservations at Doll House 3 in June. Hoping my Tacoma on 32’s can make that ledge!
@CruisinHills11 ай бұрын
Thank you! Dollhouse 3 was rad. Loved being over there by myself. I saw a 3rd Gen 4Runner making it's way back on 32's, I don't think you'll have an issue with that ledge! Spotters are key out here.

Great video. I'm curious how much of the spare gas did you end up using. Would you recommend 15 gallons?
@CruisinHills9 ай бұрын
Thank you! 15 was way overkill. Next time I'll do 10, and plan on topping off in Hanksville. 15 took me all the way back to Price! Ha!

Thanks for the shots. I went through Elephant Hill Rd earlier this year and wondered about the Dollhouse...Thanks for that. Hope your mechanical problem was a non issue

I went in a 4R, and still have it, still love it, but picked up a 80 series to build out for the future.
@CruisinHills5 ай бұрын
It's absolutely worth going, it's insanely cool out there! Elephant Hill is still on my bucket list. Haven't been able to make it down there yet! My noisy serpentine belt tensioner never fully grenaded on the trip. I got home and drove it for a week before I was able to replace it. The one time I overreact and change plans, ends up being nothing. 😂 You'll have a blast with the 80!
@EreggioHayde Жыл бұрын
Actual industry expert :) M dawg got nothing on you climbing ledges😂. I’m super jealous I couldn’t join you but guess that means you’ll have to go back.
@CruisinHills Жыл бұрын
Those ledges are a good time! I'll absolutely go back. But I'm going in by Poison Springs and coming out through Hite. Flint Trail was a corrugated mess and the Hite way was beautiful.

It was on my bucket list for a long time! Glad I went!

@@CruisinHills I understand that the site is also accessible via a jet boat and an hour long hike. That’s probably the best choice for me. I don’t believe my pavement princess (Nissan Frontier) would make it over that road.
@CruisinHills6 ай бұрын
@DovieRuthAuthor I know someone who did that! They rafted down and hiked up in, and camped at the Dollhouse 1 camp. It's a short hike but a significant elevation gain! Your Frontier could probably do 90% of it easily, but there are some spicy sections that would need some rock stacking and spotting!

What happened with the belt tensioner?
@CruisinHills6 ай бұрын
In typical Cruiser fashion, nothing. Ha! It made some noise at start up for the rest of the trip, and for a week after I got back before I finally replaced it.

Where did you fuel up for this trip? Not a lot of options from what I could see. Thanks. Great video.
@CruisinHills9 ай бұрын
I waaay overdid it on spare fuel. I had gassed up in Green River, so 22 in the tank and 15 in the Jerry cans. I didn't need to get gas again until Price, on the way home. 10 would be perfect, and top off in Hanksville. This trip was a blast! Thanks for watching.

Awesome adventure dude. I just did the White Rim in my FJ62 last month and where you went is high on my list to go next. Any chance you can tell me about this window blinders? Did you make those yourself? Been trying to find those online.
@CruisinHills Жыл бұрын
Oh hell yeah! White Rim is still my favorite trail of all time. These window insulators are fantastic. I only regret not getting them for the driver and passenger front windows as well! I scored them from www.solarscreen.com.au. Shoot them an email with what you got, and they'll do the rest. They're a great price, too for how nice they are! Thanks for watching man. 🤘🏼

Appreciate it! thank you. I was gonna put a curtain like right behind the front seats, I have a whole inside sleeping system build out. Nice with the Utah winds! Between Escelante and Cedar City there is a ton to explore in case you haven't like 11k feet camping/trails right north above Bryce Canyon, incredible views and camping@@CruisinHills

Not these ones! They were appropriately placed by a Park Ranger, and honestly helped me get there and back with ease.
