Overlanding to India Episode 09: Georgia
We cross the border from Turkiye to Georgia. After a good night sleep in Gori we visit the local Stalin Museum. Then the cave town of Uplistsikhe.
From Gori we continue our route towards Russia via the so called military road over the Kaukasus, direction Vladikavkaz.
On the way we spot a "car museum", the Communist style Gudauri "friendship monument" and some typical churches. And some heavy rain... Finally we reach the pass height of 2.400m.
After our descent to Stephansminda we visit the landmark St. George holy trinity church, which one can find on any book or website depicting Georgia.
Now it is time to continue to Russia.
