Overlanding to Whitmore Canyon, Arizona

We took the family to Whitmore Canyon, Arizona. We visited the disbursed camping site in December 2023. The site is about 75 miles from civilization on a dirt road. The last 10 miles are the most difficult and you will need a high-clearance vehicle. You won't necessarily need 4x4, but it will help!
There is a decently well marked trail that leads down to the Colorado River. It's about 2 miles round trip, but it has an elevation decrease/gain of almost 1000 feet. Going down is the easy part!
We left from Las Vegas, Nevada area and it was about a 6 hour drive. Remember, if you visit this area, please 'leave no trace' that you were there! Whatever you pack in (and we packed in a lot) take it with you on your way out!
