I worked on south padre in the mid eighties building a hotel. I made many trips to the cut in my 1976 Ford F-250 highboy, it would sometimes start to over heat if it was high tide in the soft sand. I was there during spring break what a wild time. The guy in the beach house next to me rented little Honda spree scooters and the collage kids would cruise up and down the island beeping their horns such good times. I was a young man then, I’m 70 now your video brought back some good memories. Thanks

OMG I miss Texas soooo much 😫 I've been in Nevada for 15yrs, BLM and USFS exploring is awesome but everything else sucks out west. I haven't seen SPI in years, thank you for the video!

Awesome video, was just over there Monday, drove down from Houston and didn't realize that they closed the trail going east from the jetties, back in the day we would camp back there, but I still had a great time with the family

its a nice place for sure- i always get bombarded with night fishermen when i camp that close to the jetty

For some reason this night was quiet but yeah that does happen and if I was camping solo, I would choose somewhere else to camp

Good video man. I need to do some camping at the beach man. I do a lot of kayak camping but never car camping on the beach. I like your sandals man. They look like they are Teva sandals. I use to wear Teva sandals & i still have them but i can't wear them anymore because i have big & very very Extremely wide feet 🦶 sz15 6E wide ( which is very very extremely wide feet 🦶 ) with very very chubby fat wide toes that are Evenly straight across making my foot very very Extremely wide at 6 1/2 inches wide from my big toe to my lil toe. I was born with very very extremely wide feet 🦶 & i have always been a barefooted 👣 or flip flop 🩴or sandals guy. I never did like wearing shoes & socks because they crush & hurt my feet 🦶 & toes because of my toes being Evenly straight across. I miss wearing my Teva sandals because they was so so comfortable & now i can't wear them because the toes Strap will not fit over my extremely wide feet 🦶 & toes i have. It cool seeing you wearing Teva sandals man👍👍

Love camping out on that beach. It’s one of the few spots in the RGV. If you catch it during the right weather and moon you’re able to appreciate the night sky a little extra. I’ve experienced a few other cool things out there. Are you from the valley?
