The fuel price is 😱 Yep. When you're in the middle of nowhere, you gotta get what is there. Our Nissan Patrol is a fuel eater. I love bondocking. It's so peaceful out there. We got fuel in Billiluna en route to Alice Springs returning from the Kimberley in 2016 and it was $2.65c per litre then and the most expensive fuel for the whole trip. Given the huge jump in fuel costs since then, $3.30 doesn't sound too bad! You got caught by the lunchtime closure too!

Can you time stamp or tell us the date at the start of each episode ? It’s handy to know what the tracks are like at the time instead of weeks or months later. Driftas live daily updates from the CSR were excellent. A lot are doing it now.

At what point did we "over dramatise" it? It was easy mate, but there was some large washouts from a water event. Hit them at 90KPH you'll know about

@@OverlandTravellers My advice would be instead to not hit them at 90km/h. If you're aware that a water event has recently been through on any track, drive at a speed suitable to conditions, ease off early and take on obstacles like washouts at a sensible speed. Sure it takes longer to get from A to B, but your vehicle will appreciate it, as will your fuel consumption. And also your passengers. And the beers. Eggs too. All good reasons to drive in a calmer manner. It's all about the journey after all, right? As much as it is the destination? Anyway, I get around in a battered old LN106, so as far as speed goes I've not a lot of choice going for me - it's always going to be slow. Very slow. I do like your vehicle - it's a lovely rig.
