You can’t miss a school here on your graph.
They are everywhere. Most schools are hovering around 60 with some up near 45 ft
They are small now and will most likely be close to 12 inches in September-October 2022
This is a Great Lake to take your Family
These Kokanee most the time are excellent biters.

11:16 you should get one of those tiny little bells that attach to the front line guide, that way you don't miss a bite for want of fishing buddies. They use em all the time for ice fishing.

Love your videos. Grew up fishing the ocean and sound for coho and kings. Fresh water has never really excited me much. Until now. Been gearing up for Kokanee and need to try it soon. I live in port orchard so these west side videos are very helpful. Thank you.

Thanks so much. I was the same way. Ocean and rivers then found Kokanee then many others fresh water species. Fresh water fishing is definitely harder to find that big rush but it’s so much more relaxing.

Do you fish mostly west or east side? Winter months I get soo bored with Westport dead I think Kokanee might get me thru the winter until bottom fish opens up lol.

I thought Mason Lake was a private lake/land owned by Warehouser? We use to camp there but you have to be employed by them. Is it a Public lake now?

Sorry Martin but not true. They have to be counted towards your daily limit but not kept.

@@NorthwestCatch Now I'm intrigued. How can a fish count toward your limit if it isn't kept? Counting towards your limit, and keeping a fish, are synonymous in my mind. Not trying to be a game warden, just curious what you meant.

@@Zach-K7FC it’s a dumb rule, but atleast in Washington it’s in the wdfw pamphlet. I doubt anyone except serious anglers even know of it.

Why didn’t you use the down riggers?
@NorthwestCatch
@NorthwestCatch 2 жыл бұрын
Great question. I was waiting for someone to ask. I fished this lake many many times and never needed them so I left them at home. Can’t say last year because I did not fish it, but years prior the Kokanee have been 9-11 inches this time of year and the bite has been ridiculous on droppers. I had a ton of bites on this trip but running #2 hooks they would not stick. Next time I go I will bring a downrigger.
