Overlord is just a really good fantasy show/books. It actually portrays a world functioning with different rules and how a disruptive force might affect it. But it's all done through characters so it's never a boring lecture but witnessing how people get affected. The part in the opening where the "Overlord" marches on top of all the images of the different inhabitants of the world is a good representation of what I'm talking about. About "if the song is made for the anime"... YES. It's one of those things where Kadokawa produces original songs for an anime but also hires insane talent. Making a completely original song that goes to the bands's album but is also custom made for the anime. Helps if the producer is fan of the books himself.

I love the ending, to me it reflects a broken psyche. Although, to find out why it's broken, you'll have to watch the anime. To be fair, I love all the OSTs for this show, I know you've posted the first two seasons, but it keeps getting better.

Never watched Overlord. Heard it's good though. Songs sound cool. Should react to demon Slayer openings and endings. Timing works well with season 3 starting 😉
