Hi Mike, thank you for pointing out the bass band issue, which is happening on some DAWs when the oversample is on. We have released the 1.0.1 version which fixes this issue. Best regards, Overloud Team

FInally a pultec emu which shows how the curves interact when combining boost and attenuation.

I use all Gem compressors and tapedesk on all my mixes. very under rated products but they are some of the best out there. hope they fix the bug coz I would definitely switch to it.

ME too . Totally true. We need a Api 2500 from them. I was waiting for the pultec since a long time

Great vid, and glad you noticed the low end issue. I thought I was going mad when I tried it.

Pretty nice sounding emu! Comparing bypass on / off was telling.. wouldn’t be able to go back after hearing how much more colour & weight was added. And even heavy handed settings, it never without sounded harsh, or woofy. Nice!

They just released the Version 1.0.1 and it seems that they fixed the volume display (it shows now the correct values). But I dont know yet if they changed the Behavior of the frequencies (there is no changelog uploaded yet). Nice Video btw 😀

Hello Mike. Thanks for another helpful video. I'd really like to hear your opinion on the NoiseAsh Rule Tec version of this unit, if you haven't done so. If you already did, that's my bad :))) All the best!

I made some tests with Plugin-Doctor and with Boosting and Attenuate full at 20HZ the dip for Tubetech is around 115Hz, Ruletec around 125Hz, Waves around 139Hz and Overloud around 236Hz. Can the original Pultecs have such a large tolerance (I mean tubetech, waves and ruletec seems to be close)? It would be cool if you could comment on that, Mike :-) Thank you!

Thanks for catching those bugs. Pretty unfortunate because once people start using this, they can't really fix it without affecting existing mixes.

Sounds a bit tubby/boomy to me compared to other Pultec emulations. Thanks for the vid!

Question: How do you like this vs the Izotope version, which also has the graphic display and has m/s capability? I tend to love gems also, just not sure if it offers anything that much better than Izotope's in this case, except maybe the clipper. Is the general tone superior to your ear?

Does putting plugin on the channel without using eq, only as saturation circuit, adding volume gain to the output ?

Overloud GEMs are good

Sounded like it compressed the sound to me, narrowing it. And it seemed to take some energy out of the music. Been using UAD Pultecs for years and this sounds nothing like them.

Tim Petherik's Dualtec kill the UAD version

Directly inspired from the best Pultec emulation ever did Tim PETHERIK for Nebula Pro.The Duales from Tim Petherik sounds much better than this copy (the clipper sounds not well here compared to the Tim Petherik version)

7'27 it's a joke????? it boost around 18db, the spectrum is relate to the grey value in the meter not the yellow this is for the band setting in fabfilter, the spectrum is gray and the grey value, so boost to around -35db to -18db around in your video. Not 6db. Test seriously vst, don't get overloud but seriously
