My theory on this video and the involvement of Sam’s old friend Sallie… Okay so around 13:27 Colby asks if the spirits remembers them and they confirm they recognize Sam & Colby. At 13:57 Sam asked if they like that they are back, on which the answer was no. They then continue to ask some questions about who this spirit is and it kind of responded to Josh saying “I didn’t think it would be” relating to if the spirit was anybody related to the Winchester family (thus the answer being no). This whole conversation already gave me the feeling that it wasn’t a spirit that is related to the house in any way and maybe something they have brought (Sallie). At 16:51 Eddie asks if the spirit is friendly, it takes a bit till it responds yes, almost as if it is thinking of what the best response would be and pretending that they are friendly. At 21:38 it is asked again if the spirit is friendly on which the response is “get rid of him”, could be saying get rid of Sam or the spirits wanting Sallie gone and saying get rid of him- Sallie. At around 22:05 it was asked to be confirmed that it was Sarah they are talking to as that was the name that the spirit box gave. The response was a silence of the equipment (=no) and a ringing noise in the spirit box (a loud ringing noise is often associated with a negative energy nearby). This would again point to the spirit pretending to be someone else who is friendly. At 22:47 Sam asks if the spirit had a specific message for them on which the response was “they hate you” which could be Sallie talking, to sort of give extra fear or it could mean the other spirits don’t like Sam because he has brought Sallie into the house. Mully then asks why Sam is upsetting the spirit on which a noise comes from the spirit box that sounds like “we have to tell him” after which a few just unintelligible sounds come from it almost as if somebody is trying to hide the truth and prevent Sam from knowing it is Sallie again. The thing that really pulls it together is at 23:33 when it says “you’ve got a friend here”, which to me really points to an old friend of Sam aka Sallie. The little child’s laugh at around 35:53 could also point to the child spirit that Sallie is masking as. When they started doing the Estes method at around 54:34 the first thing that is asked is if there is anything in there and it immediately responded with what sounded to me as “the devil”. Then at 54:50 they asked for a clear sign if something is there and the spirit box to me sounded like a guy trying to scream “Sallie” but as if somebody put their hand on his mouth trying to silence him halfway. During the Estes method it kind of sounded like it went back and forth between Sarah talking and Salie. With Salie saying things like “I’m unhappy”, “I’m talking right now” Sarah saying things like “Eddie… Stay”- wanting to have Eddie stay until she could finish her message even though someone else was trying to interrupt her. Then “i’m loose” is followed which could mean Sallie’s spirit is now loose from Sam, not chained to him anymore, but is still feeding off of his energy and is now able to be running around in the house. To which Sarah’s female voice comes back and says “get out”. After this there where a few words mentioned like “carnage” “setting off” “that one” and “investigate”. It almost felt like other people took over an tried to help Sarah get the evil spirt away/setting it off and investigate ‘that one’ -> Sam, if there is still an attachment. I feel like at this point the spirit of Sallie or whatever it is was sort of gone and other people came in like saying hi and being confused as to what was going on which was when Sarah knew she could finish her message about the notebook. A bit later when Narrator started doing the Estes method at around 1:03:20 the female voice (Sarah) came back and said “no trace of…” maybe no trace of Salie, saying she/it is gone? Narrator eventually says a few words that make up “Tour to descend…and then…you’ll know…go…in the middle”. This really reminded me of Sam sitting in the middle of the spot where he got the attachment in the basement (descend). Sam then says that the seance room is in the middle and the response is “probably”, as if to say ‘that is possible but that’s not what I was referring to’. Sam then asks if you should go to the seance room to which their response is “why?” Like what made you think I wanted that, that is not what I said. I think Sallie specifically did not want you guys to go there because they can’t communicate there and another spirit that has been following you trying to protect you now had the opportunity to talk to you. (Not sure why it is that Sallie cannot communicate here well). This spirit needs help from you as it said at around 1:10:13 and a bit later at 1:14:23 “to pray for his safety”, as if he can’t keep protecting the visitors for much longer or he will be in danger. He then keeps confirming that it was him watching them and he works here & tries to protect the visitors from the evil that is here. Which maybe Sam has brought here, Eddie even says we’re not evil we’re friendly to which the response is “except him” at 1:11:43 … “the bad guy”. Alana then asks if Sam is really Sam to which the response is “are you?”. Like as if Sallie is still trying to take over. August 24th came up and I wonder if maybe Sam and Colby were there last time on this date as they most likely filmed the hell week video during summer? Saying like the place hasn’t been the same ever since… I felt the theme of Sallie throughout the whole video and I wasn’t sure what it was so I just decided to pin point every moment and this is what I got, let me know what you think!

Just a thought, but Sarah Winchester's notebook would likely have been hidden somewhere that she, as an elderly lady could access it in discretion.
