Great video! I’m considering doing this, was doing some research, and this was the first video that popped up.

11:00 Morning face! LOL. This was great, Justin. Love following your adventures. Keep smiling! And what is the orange cook-in bag?
@TrailheadJustin3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Mark! The bag is a reusable boil/storage bag from UST Gear. You can use them to cook dehydrated meals (like I did) or store snacks :-)

Assateague is so beautiful, my family tent camped at the state park side. I definitely plan on going back there again

4 miles is a lot on sand. A mile is a lot on sand. Though it looked like it was compacted. Would have liked to seen that table in more detail. I like that there was a door and it looked new
@TrailheadJustin3 жыл бұрын
Definitely wasn't the easiest hike. The closer you are to the shoreline where the sand is wet, the easier I found it was to walk.

Really enjoyed your video! Just subscribed. Man that fruit bowl looked so good!! That sunset was breathtaking. 😂🤤🤤I live in MD as well and want to do an overnighter on this trail. Looking forward to following your AT ‘22 thru-hike. I am also attempting an AT thru- hike not next year though. Still trying to decide on the date. Sending you all the positive energy! You got this!! 🥾🤘🏻

I enjoyed this video. That trip is on my list. This past weekend I did False Cape State Park. Also planned for 2 nights but stayed 1 (hyperextened my knee, had to limp out). Also cold and windy. 12 miles round trip of totally deserted beach. I almost commented that you should walk closer to the waters edge, glad I waited to the end. I'm usually in the mountains, hopefully I'll run across you in Virginia.

I’ve been wanting to go to False Cape! Maybe later in the year 🙏🏾

Really enjoyed the video, it's on my list of things to do but wasn't sure I'd be physically able to since I'm just making it to Medicare age and not in the greatest of conditions. Thanks for taking me on the adventure with you. You picked a good time of year if it were warmer the mosquitoes would have eaten you alive! Some place you may find fun that I really enjoyed was Portsmouth Island only accessible by a private ferry. You need four-wheel drive if you want to get anywhere on the island but you can't ride on the beach there. It's part of the Cape lookout national seashore on the very northern end. My sister and I stayed 12 nights there and like you you have to bring everything in since there's nothing on the island but beach.

How many miles did you hike from your car to the camp site ?
@TrailheadJustin3 жыл бұрын
It was about 8 miles of beach walking from the parking lot

Hi. What was the dates you were there? Thinking of camping this weekend and I’m wondering if it might be too cold. Thanks.

I don’t remember exactly, but I do know it was springtime. Either March or April.
