A small island that has been long forgotten by time, but my sweet old memories of her will never be forgotten in life...
I used to overnight barra fishing camping on this beautiful small island 30 years ago, almost on every weekend for years. Althought I've caught barra @ all over the coastal waters (north south east west) in Singapore main island, but Pulau Ubin is still my favorite barra fishing camping place...
Not because she's a fishing paradise for an angler, but her unique rustic "Kampong" taste, breath and the feeling that my body has been fully integrated, into nature wilderness and my spirit will be returned back to sweet childhood memories...

Fishing is not just for the fish, it's much more than fish...
Don't leave anything behind @ Ubin except your footprints.

👍Welcome to the wonderful world of barra sport fishing... lf you're new to the Pulau Ubin, Jelutong Campsite and the 2 famous Jelutong and Puaka bridges are the good legal fishing spots for beginner. To my experience, these spots the chance is equally as the secret spots shown on youtube. The only secret to successful barra fishing is 3R, in the right place, at the right time, with the right techniques... but ultimately, is still the passion and attitude determines the kind of the fishing day you'll have... You can try the Ubin's #1 hot spot the Sensory Pond also, although it has alredy been ruined by the daily chain-net fishing by those indian foreign workers for construction projects on the island, if you go in at the right time.
