Went on a trip with an old friend, he brought an italian espresso-maker, it was excellent. Also when bringing meat on trips, I salt them well forehand. Helps it keep and just makes the meat extra juicy.

When I stack firewood - from tinder on up through logs for fireplace & stoves - I always keep it off the ground. A couple of branches or saplings laid parallel to each other leave an air gap between the ground and the fuel. As a friend says, “It’s only critical.” Courtesy of Half Vast Flying

If you're expecting, really high winds and bad weather you should use a Plow Point pitch with back to the wind. It will also allow you to change angles if wind direction changes. Very smart using the alcohol dish to catch wood shaving in before lighing fire. Coffee or tea depends on my mood😊

He’s gonna be feeding that little stove twigs all night and still won’t stay warm. Makes no sense, he had to have froze his @ off. I’d have had an upside down fire that I didn’t have to feed all night. Can’t imagine a breeze didn’t flow through that shelter.
@bushcraftcampfire9 ай бұрын
I don't have to feed it all the time , I'm just using it for cooking i have my sleeping bag to stay warm
