Indo looks a little like our dog 🐕 Jack. They even have matching packs. Lol 😂. Looks like Indo had a great time.

Thanks Bill! I really liked the Tarp. The bug net skirting makes it a little less exposed, which makes it feel more like a tent. We'll see how it does when its warmer and the bugs are really out

Great music choice. I have heard that area is awesome to hike, but never been there. Nice video. ✌️

This weekend has been the best for hiking. I had decided for today I wanted to hike south on the AT at Rockfish and so before I left I pulled up youtube info on this area and there you were . The banjo music grabbed me, as I am a banjo player so of course I had to watch. I really enjoyed your site and subscribes at once. +I'm just getting back into hiking and backpacking (which I've always loved) after lots of years and I think my dog is worse off than me. So we headed out today ( after not knowing where to even get onto the trail up at Afton). We hiked only to the biggest falls and after crossing that we just went up around the next bend and then headed back. Don't know how much farther the shelter would have been but I didn't have a tent with me and Maddie was starting to really slow down. Thanks again for your site. Hope to see you on the trail sometime. Hope

Another good hike! '19 was an awesome year, with exception of your medical situation. Glad you came out of it ok. Glad I got to do the southern terminus with you all, it was a beautiful hike. Looking forward to the next one.

Super nice warm day! I always liked that shelter. Those tarps look mighty light. I need to invest in a pair of rain mitts...looking forward to hearing your opinion on those.

Loved the rain mitts, forgot to mention how they performed in the video. They definitely kept my hands dry while hiking in the rain that morning, but what really suprised me was that they actually retained a good amount of warmth for being as thin as they are. Less than an ounce for the pair snd only $30, they were definitely a winner.

The Xtherm is worth it's weight for the colder months. It's awesome with the R5.6 value and the heat retention that it provides. That is a great shelter , stopped there once while passing through for a lunch break. Thanks for sharing !

I love my xtherm, ive used it for several years now. The uberlight is half the weight, but definitely only suitable for summer nights. Thanks for watching

The 2020 Xtherm has a R6.9 value now along with a new valve system.

The rvalue has always been 6.9. They just developed a machine/method that gives a more accurate assessment of r value. Thats why all of their r values went up. Yes, the new valves look good, they're supposed to inflate/deflate much faster

I've not hiked overnight yet... with a tarp like yours, what do you do if it rains?

It handles the rain exactly how a traditional tent would.
