When I was growing up in SW Pa, it seemed like winter lasted eight months. Having equipment like this would really have changed camping! And I completely agree; cooking when camping is the best!

Always a chance for snow from October to April. Half the year is gloomy and cold in western Pa. I always wondered by my ancestors decided that this was the perfect area to settle. Like what kept them here!? lol

Just wish more stuff would have been found. That would have topped it off. There will be more camping episodes in the future….and hopefully at untouched sites. 😁

@@detectingpa8968 Yeah I understand about the finding more stuff but as you know eventually you will. Another nice touch is introducing the food aspect. Showing some nice steaks or whatever it is you’re going to eat along with the preparation and cooking. Foodies ❤️ that!. I mentioned in Shawn’s latest video you guys should regularly do an equipment segment. Giving detailed information on all your equipment and why you use it. I’m curious but I don’t think you use the XP MI6 pointer that pairs with the Deus why?. I’m after a new pinpointer trying to decide between XP MI4 or Garrett Carrot. I’d be great to get the adventure and periodic equipment information from you guys. Perhaps insights on other equipment you don’t own I want to buy. Love the videos and shared interaction with you that’s a great personal touch, just wish your guys videos reached the 30 minute mark but I know how busy life aside is. Again thank you for sharing your adventures and taking the time to correspond have a great weekend my friend ✌🏻.

Hot tent is awesome. Buy a asbestos mat to ensure no fire. Leaves dry out become brittle. Take care god bless. Watching makes me happy.

They do supply a mat, but the packs weigh so much now, we try and keep it as light as possible.

I haven’t weighed the pack but it has to be pushing 50 pounds lol. I’m not even sure though. Jerry and I both do the editing. We have an eye for different things when putting the videos together and we compliment each other well that way. Thanks for watching again!

Fun adventure! Did the tent leak any moisture in from the top or sides?

There was very minimal condensation inside. I’d say if it was another 10 degrees colder outside there may have been.

Awesome adventure...what material is used where the chimney goes through the tent in order to not burn the nylon?

The tent looks pretty easy to set up. How long does it take you to set it up?

That was the first time I set it up alone. I’d say within 5 minutes once it’s out of the bag.

Yep! They say you’re supposed to eat a candy bar before bed. Also to do jumping jacks before getting into your sleeping bag.

Cold is one thing. Wet is another. It stinks to be wet and cold. The tent saved the evening. It looks like The tent has a floor in the sleeping area and the stove is in the vestibule? Is that how it works?

Yeah Lee. The sleeping area has an inner tent inside the main tent. The whole thing sits on a mat that comes with the tent but we haven’t packed it as it weighs a little too much when your pack is already heavy lol.
