love the cracking boozers in York and craft beer, done it a few times myself other place is Chester you can stay on Rodee car park for a reasonable fee but a few good boozers there too , love the channel its a breath of fresh air , you need diesel heater for the winter nights

If you ever want a more comfortable space and an en-suite loo for not too bad a price….you can have your own private room in a youth hostel with with en-suite. The York one is by the river ..just up an embankment path and a nice walk by there to the centre of everything. We out the mattresses from the bunks on the floor for moor room. The Whitby one is the best ..right next to Whitby Abby and includes free entry to the Abbey, plus you can cook your own stuff or use their cafe. I think if you’re a member it’s even cheaper. We once stayed (two adults two children) in a four berth room by St.Pauls Cathedral (it’s the old choir boys building) for £18 for the night x x x check in around 3pm and out by 10am roughly x x x we parked a few towns away and got the tube into London. 🌈✝️🕊️😇😘🥰😍 x x x

That sounds like me and my best mate Allie, we'd go somewhere and she'd be lets grab a drink cos she'd want to use to loo so would find a pub and end up there for hours aided by place serves food and not see or go any of the places we meant to and have last minute dash to get the train out. Unlike you and Helen we were not actually a thing but we came across like an old married couple as we'd finish each others sentences. We had to stop the rounds system as her drinks cost twice as much as mine!

If it's free parking and there are not going to be any traffic wardens around I always try and level the van by parking the nearside front wheel or back and front ones on the curb. I know its not very glamours but its easy to do this on the local industrial estate. You are only going to sleep there so don't need it to be too scenic. Also there's often lots of work vans parked up there so you just blend in.

I also watch Vancity Vanlife, great channel, you could be the british version, with your own little bully dog, they are just too cute , good vibes from Wales. Hay maybe travel around Wales when the weather picks up, we have Abersoch beach , it's so damn beautiful there, with great homely pubs , white sand and it get's really warm weather even as early as late spring and views for days, just beautiful really. Also historic sites and cities would get views, like castle ruins and the like. Visiting oldy world country inns and coastal walks with drone shots work well to brighten up outside content, I will think about more ideas, oh yep an other idea, visiting good fishing spots, the uk has some lovely river camp areas and if you can get good cell service fireside camping live streams or record fireside tales, like ghost tales and such from the area your currently in, like if your in an area near a old smugglers old pup on the coast, you could talk about the history, ok back to the vids :D

That road is called albemarle road its the worst road in york for vehicles being broken into ,the road to the right over the field is knavesmire road where all the campers stay.

Hi again, just a thought... I think that you are only allowed to drink alcohol in a campervan if you are on a private camp site. Otherwise the police might see it as drink driving. All the best

Thanks, I've read up quite a lot on this and if I can prove there is no intention to drive then it's OK. So I make sure the van keys are put away, my bed is made, I've got my pj's on and usually an overnight parking ticket

Be VERY Careful about Drinking & Sleeping in any Car / Van Vehicle. Unless on a Campsite. Or Dump the ignition Key in a Far away place. I Was in my Local Playing Pool with a Copper, My Car was Outside the pub door, He QUIETLY ADVISED Me , Not to go near my car with the keys in hand. I had to ask a NON driver to Collect my Essentials from my car & Lock it for the night. & He was a Very Good Friendly Copper. A Village Regular in the pub. Just having my car close to the pub, & Keys in my Pocket / Possession Was not Good. Intent to Drink Drive = a Driving Ban. Keep your Vehicle Keys Far away from your car or van if Drinking. Look up the Drink Driving Laws. & BE VERY CAREFUL. Best Wishes . From Yorkshire.

..I’m a retired cop, six years in the traffic division, it’s proving an intention to drive, i.e. somebody actually getting in a car with keys and over the limit and it’s OBVIOUS they intend to drive off..standing at the bar with a pint in hand, car in the car park, keys in pocket does NOT constitute an intention to drive…and don’t forget you still have to be over the limit wether your in charge, intend to drive or are actually stopped driving a vehicle, it’s NOT an offence to go to a pub, have a pint and then drive if your NOT over the limit…

@@bythecurb you should be able to get pleasure from life your surroundings hobbies and no booze is not a hobbie. how much is a pint in the pub i really dont know i have never even been in a pud never even have booze in my food never even go up the booxe isle in the shops. i spend my days out in the doing hobbies exploring my surroundings the best pleasure is provided for right out your door you just have to go find it
