Incredible channel, one of the best. From atmosphere, over camera (angels and motives), lighting and color to the food and its preparation. No unnecessary talking about random stuff, no „it’s an outdoor video so watch me film my face for 80% of the video“. Theres genuine thought behind what he’s doing and it’s all coming together so unbelievably well. It’s on the same level as TV shows or even better than that and we can watch it for free. Thank you so much for doing that!

Im out every weekend all year around. If I cared about things like that I would not do it, modern gear have at best one season in them..then you buy and replace. holes from flying embers dont get so many in a year that it will affect a sleeping bags heating abilities. light weight poly tarps you have to be careful with though, guess that's why I mostly use thicker stuff like canvas etc.

'Red lenses'='lentils.' (Lentils are said to be 'lense-shaped.') Such a beautiful site for your adventures. And a 'proper' tutorial and stacking cut wood to make a fire reflector. So many bushcraft sites pile the logs haphazardly and the reflector fails to hold up over time. The firelight looks fine as seen from the back of the setup. THANKS ALSO for showing how to arrange a small but warming fire the useful and safe distance from a shelter front.

i was thinking that too this time. with the reflector you get the closed in feel more than when sleeping in an open tarp. It was miserable at times out collecting firewood in the dark with water coming down from the trees, close to freezing in the air...then you climb down in your tiny space and its as comfortable as in your living room in front of the TV. 👍 Thanks a lot John!
