The entity who has come to be known as ‘Fred’ or ‘The Black Monk’. is believed to be the most violent poltergeist in Europe and he has been making his presence known inside this property for more than fifty years!
There have been many different explanations given regarding who this entity is. He was known to the press as ‘Mr Nobody’ but the pritchard family called him ‘Fred’ and in time he came to be known as ‘The Black Monk’ mainly because when he has appeared as an apparition he is said to be dressed in long black robes

I live in pontefract. That house WAS haunted but whatever happened has since gone. It has now become just a money making scheme for the guy who owns it. I do believe in spirituality but this one is now just a tall tale

The kids present at the time this all started were teen/pre-teen. Sometimes I wonder if poltergeist activity was called a haunting by the family because they were embarrassed or afraid the kids would be called crazy. It's a thought, no? Such a fascinating mysterious house!

A good effort lads. You did all you could do, really. I've stayed the night alone twice now and experienced absolutely nothing. That, alongside what I've been told by the neighbor and others who have investigated there, tells me that the majority of experiences there are fed and fuelled by the power of suggestion from all the stories, and urban myths. Also, misinterpretation of the sounds the house makes naturally. From plumbing to water heaters, to the general reaction to temperature change that all houses and buildings go through daily. There's also the potential influence and reliance on fad gadgets and apps that can add unnecessary false factors to the investigation that aren't really there. I liked your approach though. Just sitting around documenting and observing. Being in the moment and recording everything as you go.

In between filming do you just watch tv, eat a meal, play a board game I don’t know like things that happen in a normal house daily? Maybe if someone hired it for a long weekend ( have no idea what it costs) and settled in and lived in the house it might be able to use more of people’s energy and be more active? All you can hear is like a packet of Crisps being stepped on...perhaps use softer (less or zero sound) clothing? This is an absolute cash cow for the owner who bought it after making the movie and the next door neighbour Carol who acts as the letting agent for all those prepared to stump up the cash to stay there and has every incentive to keep it all going. Two cameras shut off ? Why ? Were they plugged into 240 volts or running on batteries - if so how long do they last ? Please explain !

The cameras weren't plugged into anything. The cameras cut off because the batteries had drained batteries typically last 4 hours

I did a ghost night there a few years ago. Not much happened apart from some keys swinging on a hook. And no there really was no breeze inside (!) and no one pushed them. A minor thing, but strange all the same.

I have a personal storey about visiting this home, and taunting the sprits in this home and mocking them. They paid me back in a way you would never imgine .. true storey about 11 years ago… destroyed my life … never taunt the sprits that reside here.. especially the women the embloes herself in fog and crawls around the base of the bed on her hands and feet

Well done you two, doing an alone in that house takes guts. I think one of the reasons it does make you feel on edge or nervous is the fact that that its like walking back to the 70s 80s, I had that very poster of The Osmands on my bedroom wall. It was also a 3 bedroom council house in Crawley, so the vibes are so similar. It doesn't come across as homely. Just before the camera cuts off upstairs there is a light flickering on the curtains, or is it to do with the camera? Great one guys, no nonsense investigation, with some laughs. None of those dolls are old. They are the ‘collector’ dolls, found in charity shops everywhere’ that people stopped collecting 20 years ago. You can buy them for a fiver if you really want one. I just don’t get why people think they’re haunted. I see them in all these ‘haunted’ locations. It’s ridiculous. I have cabinets filled with real vintage and antique dolls and they’re not haunted either

I believe those combi boilers 'fire up' to pressurize the system, regardless of what the thermostat is set to. Of course it does ADD some noises to an otherwise boring location 🙂@@GhostsOnTrent
