Small correction. The resistance from Fiendish Tenacity doesn't trigger on using the Mallyx elite, it triggers when legend swapping, since that's when Invoke Torment activates. So you have the resistance in both legends and it isn't tied to activating the Mallyx Elite at all.

Just wanted to say I have tried a lot builds from bigger GW2 creators but they are always focused on raids or fractals. Which is nice but they suck for open world. I switched from a dps build to this and it is insane how tanky this build is. I don't know what dark magic you did but I was soloing champ mobs for hero points that I would die in 10 seconds to before. Not only was I soloing them but they died just as fast and the rotation isn't as bad as I thought it was would. Basically, use 4,3,2 on your weapons, auto and a couple of abilities. I did even soloed a heart of thorns champ just sitting in glint with the short bow and the heal, and protection up. Huge props man for us solo players who are just trying to unlock stuff 5 years old.

I love this build and have been using it for a while now. The only thing I run different is staff instead of mace/axe and on Shortbow I use Torment and Earth sigil. I usually stay in shortbow and switch to staff for CC break and sustain. If you use staff auto in the demon stance elite you shoot out bolts pretty quickly and do decent dmg while healing up quick. I also swap the relic sometimes to relic of speed when I just wanna run around and don't need the extra dmg from the fractal relic. Great video, thanks for sharing.

You can get a full set of celestial exotic armor and trinkets from the level 80 boost, thats the easiest way. I'm not sure which weapons it comes with, but you can buy celestial weapons from the TP or get stat selectable ones.

I've recently came back to the game and have been a Advent Fan of Nike always ahead of excellent analogise I've decided to move a number of characters up on the story Dragonslayer & Soulbeast and then your video on Herald adapted your build comparing living world sea 1 flame & frost it was a terrible time getting through that with this Herald character build my Soulbeast ran through it pretty decent and the Dragonslayer just simply breezed through it. My/Your Herald had a devil of a time took me forever to get through and remember was aware of the layout and what the task was. I'm shocked because prior to this finishing up My Story before living world the Herald was outstanding. Any ideas Nike or Comments thx

Hey the boons are part of herald's built in kit. If you pick the traits and gear as I've laid out you will generate the boons.

alternative cheaper food with identical stats is Koi Cake. But the Red Lentil Saobosa is likely better for experience gain (and spirit shards) due to the 1% all xp. The Koi Cake is especially cheap to stock up on during Dragon Bash festival since you can get them for 5 Zhaitaffy in Hoelbrak during festival or in Lion's Arch (Hooligan's Route) other times.

Hello, great video and nice build. I know this is about revenant, but what do you think about Mesmer, Elementalist, Engineer and Thief? Which one can do great at solo content? I want to kill hard champs and bounties solo 😊 I think Mesmer is capable of that, but what about rest of those 3 classes I mentioned?

I have to disagree. Losing 1 sec of boon duration due Imperial Impact nerf isn't a big thing for Vindicator, which usually runs siils of energy and has also 12.75 seconds of vigor in Energy Meld with Song of Arboreum. Yes, costs energy and means less damage, but you don't run Vinde due damage but due beind unkillable. And talking about killing, fraility sigils pairs perfectly with energy to fill part of the damage lost. Herald runs Glint, and Glint is as bad vs condis as ever; yes Salvation helps but Vindi has Salvation AND The Alliance. The only advantage from Herald is better cc which hasn't been a problem for Vindi at all. So Herald has more damage and quickness but worse cleanses and less evades and self sustain. Being said that, my main bias against Herald is not rational but sentimental: I've mained Rev since HoT with almost 11k hours and near 10k PvP matches; pre EoD ANet nerfed Herald to promote Vindi and Herald became so bad (no numeracally but mechanically) that using it became unbareable to me. Since then, I've not able to came back to Herald, not even being meta at instanced content, and in PvP/WvW Herald is just a Vindicator lacking things. You've done the Champion Mordremoth Vinetooth ~47 seconds, I think that previously my cele Vindi time was ~55s. I'll check it out now and also the bounties, but as I said I doubt the patch would have much effect. I'll report later...

You dont extend boons anymore on dodge. Your boon uptimes are utter garbage now. Cele Vindicator is really dismal to play now. its a shell of its former self.

@@NikeDnT This is my "dismal" cele Vindicator this night with crapy food, poor rotations and questionable execution doing your same Champion Mordrem Vinetooth in 57 seconds instead of the 47 seconds of your flashy Herald (which is the same from Hizen from 3 months ago). That's roughly a 20% slower (yet a better player would of course reduce the gap). Still got torment burst to 50: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z5_KiaJrjM12rLs Let's do a thing: call a bounty (no matter if regular or legendary) solo it and upload the fight; then I'll solo the same trying to beat your time and then I'll chose a new one, upload my solo and you'll try to do the same. Persuade me that Herald worths that place because those 10 seconds means nothing in the face of challenging bounties, and Vindi is better at surviving than Herald.

@@Buran01 brother, look at your boon bar 14 seconds into the fight. Your damage is gone, your defenses are gone. You have way worse damage and way worse sustain. I'm not trying to be mean but the build is nerfed. If you want to keep playing it, you do you but don't try to BS me about it still being just as good when its significantly worse than it was 3 days ago. For what its worth, those "10 seconds" amount to almost 20% more damage, and considering how much more defenses the herald build has, also being 20% more damage is really great. I genuinely don't care about two things and I want to make it crystal clear: I'm not here to prove one build is better than another. I can look at your build's pathetic boon uptime and be perfectly aware of which is better. Second, you think its stings me to say that it "just hizens build from 3 months ago" when I have no clue what build or video you are talking about. I respect what Hizen does but I don't watch his videos, I don't pay attention to his builds, and if you think my build is similar to his, perhaps take it as a hint that two smart guys think its a good build and maybe you should do the same.

@@NikeonaBike You didn't copy paste his build but outside the sigils is exactly the same, so what you brought here is 3 months old except for the "celestial Vindi sucks now" motto, which seems to be the only novelty and imo, is more like an opinion. The idea is that this is an incredibly tanky build for solo play. My stated position, and you can watch my video on the topic, is that builds like this are totally unnecessary for 99.9% of situations and that most people in open world should be playing boon dps builds from the raid meta. But, there are a significant amount of people who for various reasons like the idea of high sustain tanky builds for solo play and so its worth showing them the best option even if they should almost certainly be playing something else.

Every other build ive seen is better than this. Hammer/assassin outputs way more damage and from range. Why run condis with cele armor and on a heralrd when there are so many better fitting classes to run? Show this actually top dpsing in a fight first. there is no way this is good in pvp. The only thing good about this build is its very easy to run. Because it does nothing but boons and condis. There is no way you are bursting anyone with this or drain tanking anyone tanky. You arn't speced for either of those. Why do small GW2 youtubers post the dumbest builds calling them OP with zero proof?
