The biggest issue for me when playing medic is a lot of the time I will expose myself to revive a teammate, only for them to skip their revive when I'm 5m away, causing me to die myself. It gets quite frustrating.

the death icon is there on the mini map to let ya boi know that team-mates were killed nearby so there might be an unspotted enemy out of your line of sight you know might be near where your fellow geezer was killed. simples.

The reason that the death icon is on the minimap is so that you can see local deaths of your team mates and track the enemy. That is why they have the big blue circle that appears on your hud, so that you can see the revivable players.

I think you can see the dead icon teammate on the minimap even if you can't revive them because it notifies you that someone died over there so it may be dangerous to be in that position of the map.

I once experimented with the model 8 marksman and never used any other weapon ever since... if you get good with landing shots, 5 bullets are enough for you and everything else on this weapon is beastly... And love outshooting all the Hellriegel suckers with the model 8 at close range... :-D

Yup, but I play too aggressive when medic and will often need to reload or switch to secondary. Far too often I will run into an entire squad. And if they have a medic and I don't take him out, then my for sure death is for nothing. If I can get into a good squad that works together than it is not such a big deal. I have someone to back me, but when pubbing, finding a good group is more difficult, and I will often find myself with 1 other squad member if I am lucky. They never seem to spawn in the live guy, just flags they can make points off.

Thanks for this vid, Jack. As a "main" medic and as someone who stopped playing BF1 very quickly, this is right up my alley. I didn't quite because I disliked the game, I only play a1-2 a week and just ended up focusing on other games. But every one of your BF1 vids draws me closer and closer back to playing. Considering I have fuck all unlocked and this vid showing the value of an early level gun, I think I'll give it another shot. If you ever do a "Noobz II Men" video on PS4 where you pay with a nub, like me, and teach and carry us forward I'd love to watch or (obligatory) "even participate." the dead teammate icon is displayed so you get an indirect sense of where the enemies are. I find it very usefull to be able to know where my teammates died, to know where I'll have a chance of dying as well, but also to be able to know where stuff like tanks and elites are

It does make sense that your dead teammates show up on the mini map, I use that all the time to track enemy movements. Sometimes its a long range kill but 75% of them are medium to close range (assault, support & medics) and its very helpful to know where and how the enemy is moving. It works the same as a spot flare, although you dont know the enemies' exact location, you get a good general idea of where they are. Very helpful imo

Just got my net back today jack and this was the first thing i did, watch ur vids :) i love the cei rigotti but, like you said, that reload time is a killer, i think thats why they made it so long because if it wasnt then it would be phenomenal and would be the most used medic weapon, and that hip fire is just incredible, i have noticed that you take a lot of suppression affects using this gun, and the auto fires only accurate to about 30m :( right, now im off to watch the rest :) gpt some youtube to catch up on :D

The icon of your teammate is on the minimap, so you know where they died, so you can hone in on the enemy ,if they killed them close up. Gives a reference of where they got killed from. If your team is mic'd up, you can tell them in which direction from your body

Honestly the death icon is useful for intel/recon. It allows you to see where a team mate died so as to avoid approaching an area the same way he/she did and get killed. Therefore you can make a smart play to approach that area via a flank to get the enemy that killed your team mate. That's just my opinion

The death icon on the minimap, although sometimes you can't revive them but it is a sign that he is recently been killed and that there are enemies nearby and you should be careful. That what it's used for, to me at least.

Selbstlader 1906 sniper is a beautiful weapon for the medic class , practically a sniper with the ability to heal/grenade plus the Selbstlader 1906 scope isn't higher than 4X no scope glint bonus , best reload animation in BF1 so far .
