They're not going to because Steve Bisciotti follows the same format with coaches that the Rooney Family has in Pittsburgh, they don't want a Mike Shanahan in Denver situation where they are constantly looking for a new coach on close to a yearly basis, and he's not going to fire his BFF who is on track to be a Hall of Fame coach. I know Harbaugh has his flaws, but if they fired him after losing in the playoffs again, whoever replaces him is going to have massive and I mean massive shoes to fill. Wouldn't credit Alex Smith to Jim as he had one pretty good season with him and then the next year as soon as he got hurt he replaced him with Kap as soon as he could. Only difference is the defense looks better now while the offense looks worse. Last 3 of the last 4 weeks they have scored 10pts twice and 15 once. With 17 games and 3 days between games a reality, whoever has the healthiest star players come playoffs is going to win. This is all speculation until week 16. Derrick Henry was passed over because he hasn't stayed healthy. Lamar has inury history. Rodgers as well. The sad reality is the schedule is not as important as the players still on the field in January.

I agree. Kaepernick was an unknown rookie and Smith was thought of as a bust until Harbaugh saved his career. They were not established like Herbert was. There is a difference between developing quarterbacks and joining a team where the quarterback situation was already figured out.
