Aaaahhh... never gonna have enough with this song! Actually, according to the composer (CMIIW) this song have double meanings, it's about pushing your limits and also have something to do with using sloppy codes that somehow works in programming, thus the lyrics mentioning various terms used in coding like Default, Functions, Parents, Python, Escape, Override, etc.

I think it's a pretty great metaphor, in programming, there are sometimes solutions that aren't what you want, but you have to press on even if its not the way you wanted to do it, for example, the default function might be considered a "sloppy" method because you're asking the code to find out what type of data you put the default before instead of doing it yourself, but if it works, it works. Pretty cute.

While it is less obvious in Will's adaptation, the original makes it clear. 0:48 関数(Function) -> translated as "Rules and Limits" by Will, a function is a callable set of procedures defined in an environment. (the translation isn't technically wrong, by the way, I think it's clever) 0:49 @Override -> A notation in Java that signals a function override (a new definition of a parent function) 1:45 エラー(Error/Exception) -> Errors are typically referred to as "Exceptions" in Java 1:59 コード(Code/Chord) -> translated as "chord" here, this is a play on words on how (programming) code and (songwriting) chord both are written as コード in Japanese 2:02 ユーザー(User) -> consumers/customers are typically referred to as User(japanese: yuuzaa) in programming. Translated as "you" which in this case I would argue a slight meaning is lost. This particular line mocks how Users of Life.exe don't understand how pathetic its code and experience is under the hood.
