We give that stuff to our chickens as we don't have pigs. Our garden gave us more than we could handle. We are lucky that our local food bank accepts produce and eggs which we also have an abundance of.

Love squash and cucumbers! Just did a simple squash dish. ..washed squash, dry off, slice medium slices, place slices in bowl drizzle with a little olive oil, add seasoning you like as SnP, garlic n onion powder, herbs etc. toss so all are coated, place on foil sprayed sheet pan singly then in a 425 oven and bake till edges get crispy, add grated cheese, cook until cheese melts. Let cool.. then enjoy as part of a meal or a snack. Loved fishing too! That’s a big lake! Always a fresh break on the lake. Thanks for sharing.

Squash can keep in a cool place for a while! Any cucumbers can be made into pickles or relish I’m actually looking for cucumbers to make some pickles and can’t find enough. Zucchini made great muffins that froze nicely last year for me!

Wow great video !!! Garden excess is always a thing unfortunately, try to use /can as much as you can guys. Loved the fishing but you need a Landing Net otherwise you are going to lose some big ones. I give veggie scraps to my goats. They love them but they won't make bacon. My dog will steal a carrot or stalk of celery. She lays under a tree to crunch it. She also steals bread from the chickens. I don't let her have much of that although she loves it.

I watched a video on utube called ‘purposeful pantry’. She dehydrated zucchini for 4 different ways. Chips, flour, zucchini for winter soup and seasoning sauces. Went my boys were in scout they made a huge catapult where they shot extra veggies from one of staffs garden - pumpkins, squash, pumpkins, melons,. Scouts thought it was fun to watch the items fly in the air and break. Wildlife would clean up the mess after everyone left for evening.

You can shred and freeze zucchini for zucchini bread or casserole this wenter. Yum! I also canned cubed yellow summer squash in pineapple juice...tastes just like pineapple and great for a dump cake.

My son-in-law cuts zucchini length-wise into spears, salt and pepper them, and then grills them on the barbeque ( a couple of minutes each side) and they are sooo good. My 11 yo grandson would eat them every day if we had them. Just a thought of another way to prepare them.

That was ocean approve chopping Rachel WTG! I would of wanted to throw that squash in the air and chop it too. 😂 Pigs will eat everything we used to give them some almost spoiled milk from the cows and mix it in the trough with their food. They loved it. 🐖🐖🐖 My Granddaughter just showed her pig at our county fair and she one 3rd place🥉🐖. She sold it for $4.50 per pound and it was over 270lbs. She also was given $1500. in donations for her 2022 4-H 🍀project 🐖 So proud of her. Going fishing with my parents growing up was some of my best memories. Kevin there was a couple of really big fish that I would have kept and cleaned and froze. Mojo loves his human mom as does Leeskee/Leeski. My church fixes a hot breakfast for over 150 homeless every Sunday morning and has a food bank every Tuesday and a clothes bank several churches donate to my church because they don’t have the capacity or the needy families that we do so we have an early morning/ breakfast service then Sunday school. Regular church service then evening service we are a non denomination church/ Pentecostal and come as you are God don’t transform you before you are saved

Here in Loveland, Ohio, some people have Honor System Vegetable Stands at the end of their driveways for the excess vegetables. One young lady has an Honor System Meat Shop on her farm. She raises beef, pork, and chickens. She also has eggs and honey. All are Organically and Pastured Raised. Have you tried giving your excess garden goodies to nursing homes? Something different is to slice the squash thinly with onion, and add any other veggies you like. Then toss it with your favorite Italian or vinegar dressing.
