Oh Erin! I ended up watching this video while in the same room as my husband and therefore kept having to stop the video to listen to his comments and laugh. I just came home yesterday with a car that looked just like this. I was driving somewhere and passed by a garden center that is going out of business (owners retiring) and they were selling EVERYTHING for 50% off. This included huge fountains, statuary, pots, trees, perennials, annuals, etc. Most of the comments said by you in the video were said by me to my husband yesterday when I got home from that sale. You made my day!!!!!! And our local garden center made my day yesterday too!

Incredible! And so nice that the plants appear to be well taken care of. So many garden centres, around here at least, just seem to stop watering and toss their annuals rather than offer them to their customers at a good price. Happy planting.

Mother of god, I would have lost my mind too! It was like a clown car, they just kept coming and coming. I wish we had a sale like that around here. I got ONE rex begonia on sale for like 6 bucks and thought that was good. A little retail therapy always lifts the spirits. Oh, Kaleb grows bay, maybe he can give you some tips. It sure looks healthy!

This last Tuesday my local nursery posted on Facebook that ALL remaining annuals were FREE. I quickly grabbed 2 flats of bedding begonias, and 40+ 4inch pots of big begonias and two types of fuschia. They are all I the ground, they’ll either grow or not……but they were headed to the compost heap so why not try it? Fertilized and in the ground they will soon be happy!

While driving to work last summer a mom and pop nursery was putting out flats next to the road. As I drove past I saw a sign.. FREE. Screeched my car to a halt! Much like you I lost my damn mind. I loaded my car. It was a gardeners dream. I smiled for days!! Turns out they clear out the greenhouse to start mums for fall. Happy Planting!!!

Awesome haul! It's hard to focus when that happens. I was driving back from Georgia to North Florida a few weeks ago and passed a nursery that was having it's end of season clear out sale. All three gallon plants were ten dollars -- Agapanthus, Dianella, Mandevillea, African Iris, Foxtail fern, Duranta. I had just removed a bunch of lawn to start a new planting area so I loaded up. Like you it wasn't a planned nursery trip but it was such a huge savings on things I would have eventually wanted to buy (at three times the price) anyway. I had to stack everything diagonally to fit it all in the back of my car. I was walking around the nursery trying to get myself to think logically and talking to myself out loud trying to formulate a plan. Crazy plant people unite! I can't wait to see what you do with it all.

I found a stack of dishpans at a thrift store. I use them all the time for soaking new plants. They store easily and are great bins for carrying multiple plants, garden tools, etc. I’ve used them for years. No need to store a big old kiddie pool. 😊
