To keep it halal, they can get a nikkah and move on with their lives as normal, so the guys goes to uni but needs to take up a few extra shifts/side hustles, and they girl can continue living with her family and go about her life, they can meet for dates often and visit each other until they feel ready to move out and get a home together

i reckon they could have their nikkah if they both are serious about each other and that way they’d be able to make it halal and he can get his stuff together and grow together but then again i also agree with your guys’ opinion

this happened to my sister. they both agreed to this but after the nikkah my mum made her do the rukhsati and move to his house as if she stayed here, but went out with him it would be shameful as she hasn’t moved in with him yet/ done the rukhsati.

How your marriage turns out depends 100% on choosing the right partner in the first place. This relationship already has too many issues. I don't think she is the right partner for him. I'd advise him to let her go and focus on establishing himself fir now.

This is debatable and not actually in the Qur'an (there are 3 instances where dogs are mentioned in the Qur'an, none of which are negative). The Maliki school permits a guard dog if one is required, and if it's required in the house, then it is permissible. Indeed, consider surat- al- kahf. Additionally, the boundaries of indoor and outdoor isn't always distinct especially among nomadic (including bedouin) communities which may rely on dogs for hunting or herding. Worth looking into as it is a debate among scholars and schools instead of making a formative declaration.
