The foreshadowing is insane too. Notice how the emus just bust right through the farmer's fence in the beginning. That should’ve been the clear indication on what needed to be fixed but no one knew how to conduct logical thinking back in those days 😂💁🏻‍♂️

So I used to go backpackin when I was younger & ran into bears 3 different times- each one just ignored me. A moose on the other hand I wouldnt go near. They're the most dangerous animal in America

Yeah bears mostly don't want anything to do with people, we're too large for them to see us as an easy meal so unless they're starving or they have cubs nearby they mostly just ignore us. Except polar bears. Polar bears are TOTAL assholes, so if you're in the frozen north and see one of them, better have a gun with you or kiss your ass goodbye.

As an American who lives and camps in the American West where the Grizzly Bears, Black Bears, Moose, Wolves and Mountain Lions roam, I'll tell you why Australia is scarier. We never have to shake our sleeping bags to see if a bull moose is sleeping inside it. Wolves dont jump out of trees at us like those crazy spiders do. You will never find a Grizzly Bear curled up in our toilet bowls at our most vulnerable moments. The animals here in America are less scary because they all in general tend to be big enough to see coming and for us to use our guns to stop them. You guys have funnel web spiders, giant centipedes, the brown snake and EMU'S. I mean the only bird that causes death in America is the chicken and thats cause we fry it and eat too much of it. haha!

Even the flora is scary in Australia. We may keep an eye out for poison ivy and thorn bushes and such, but Australia has suicide plants...need I say more.

So in the American plains states, there are a lot of prairie dogs, who dig holes all over. Cattle will step in the holes, break a leg, and then die. So the ranchers will hire paramilitary snipers to set up and snipe the prairie dogs. It’s not government snipers, but it’s similar.

"Could you imagine that, you're in the military and they're just like 'We've got a mission for you,' and you have to go shoot a bunch of emus?" Former US soldier here. I spent 3.5 years stationed in the middle of the California Desert. At one point they had all the soldiers in our battalion go out, pick up all the rocks around the base, and load them into huge trucks so they could be hauled off post...only to replace them with an equal number of truckloads of _different_ rocks. Shooting emus would've been a nice change. 😂

We have a lot of moose here in Sweden, they're essentially somewhere between horses and cows. Only dangerous is you put them in a stressful situation. Lovely animals, you'd struggle to be killed by one. The scary thing about Australian wild life is that a lot of them are so small. I'd never know if a poisonous spider was hiding in my bedroom, but I'd know if there was a moose in there.

I got stalked by one at the zoo. It was a park-like area and it was raining so hard there wasn't another person in sight. We both escaped unharmed, and the full story is long and much better live, but the moral is "Never trust any creature that can fit it's entire brain in it's mouth." See also: moose.

I was a Patron of hers for a hot minute, just really wanted to see that Bo Burnham reaction content. She hasn't posted any updates on there, at least not since I unsubbed. eh, Moose are pretty chill. They're pretty blind and as long as you don't mess with them, they will leave you alone. If you need to get away from a moose, just move out of it's way and hide behind a tree. As stated before, they are pretty blind, and also they don't turn well.

Moose is like goose, the plural of goose is geese, so moose is meese. Not really. I will say in North America there are dangerous animals... but most of them a LARGE ... a moose for example is roughly 2m tall 2.5-3m long and mass around 500kg... they don't usually sneak up on you. A spider, or snake ... are born to sneak. And Crocs come at you under water... often. These days "emu" now makes me think Emmanuel the emu... google it if you're not sure what I mean? That said, oddly I have heard of the Emu War before. But loved the original and your react.

No shade, just fun: Based on your library of books I'm guessing that you're 1. Into self-help books 2. Positive thinking. I see Rich Dad Poor Dad, You are a Badass, Start with Why, Dare to Lead, On Fire: The 7 Choices to Ignite a Radically Inspired Life, The Power of your Subconscious Mind, and it's blurry, but the last readable title seems to be the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. I can't read anything but "7", but I'm thinking that I'm right. Admit it: You thought I was only looking at your pretty face! One of the best and most acclaimed self help books of all time is by Dale Carnegie: How to Win Friends and Influence People. Also: Chicken Soup for the Soul belongs in that stack behind you.
