😮🫣🤯 Here trying to convince myself buying one top end rack unit that does the job of 3 or 4 actually makes this a bargain & it is working but I really was more comfortable in the days when a new guitar pedal was justified as an ‘investment" Or when a £20 app was enough to alleviate the G.A.S 🤦🏻

I feel you. Going through the same process here. These days I tend to buy less but when I do it is a bigger lump of dough and is usually some sort of outboard hardware. The struggle is real.

@@riloh58 🤣glad im not alone, it is an addiction & it gets to the point where a new guitar pedal isnt going to feed it enough! (Really do like the sound of the overstayer though!) But im still paying off a prophet 12 which hasn't even arrived yet, so hoping that keeps me going for awhile! Cant complain though theres far worse problems to have!!!

@@eyesintheskies well, yes. I guess there are worse habits. P12 eh? Very nice. I did get a Prophet 10 rev4 a couple of years back. Prophets have always been a fascination but I didn’t go vintage on this occasion. And yes, guitar pedals rarely cut it anymore. The habit has escalated. Though I do need a new fuzz since my old one appears to have died. Maybe the Overstayer cranked with hex saturation will suffice. See, if I get one I’d actually be saving myself money. It just makes sense. 🤪

@@riloh58 nice yep dave smith definitely knew his stuff. Always been curious about the 12 because its got a meeting of analog & digital. Looking forward to it 😀 Was tempted by the ob6 but thisll be more flexible,& i got a good deal on reverb 🤣, still a big purchase but half the cost of the overystayer! Hate to fuel anyones G.A.S but I can thoroughly recommend the hudson broadcast its a class-A preamp, distortion pedal that gets into fuzz territory. Based on the sound of plugging straight into the old 60s consoles, its even got a transformer in there working its magic. Love it one of my favourite pedals. 👍🏼
