Not sure why she didn’t show him Birmingham. It’s between Bloomfield & Royal Oak and it’s a 30 minute drive to downtown. You have beautiful homes and condos in Birmingham and it’s extremely safe. Even with new developments, Detroit is still lacking great housing options downtown compared to a city like Chicago or Houston where you can throw a rock and hit a highrise. A lot of Detroit pro athletes stay in the burbs so it must not be that bad.

That's not his fault. It's no reason the city of Detroit can't build developments with Million Dollar Homes like this downtown. I'm from there and now live in Atlanta and thats what they are doing down here all the time. Detroit on the comeback, but still has not got to the point to using the empty lots and land to build these type of developments. Maybe the next mayor will take the city to that level, without completely gentifying so that Detroit still has its authentic Detroit feel.
