I haven’t collected football cards since I was a kid. Born in Chicago so I always sought out Bears cards. Just recently (two weeks ago) at 40 started collecting cards again. I dig up my old cards, reorganized them and did a little research on their value. I’m already investing in Field’s cards. Bought my first pack for my new collection, no Field’s cards. On a whim stopped by a hobby lobby on the way home from work and buy a pack cards. BOOM!! First Field’s card and it was a photo of his first touchdown! I have 8 Fields rookie cards and counting. He’s gonna be a legend.

Damn, that INT vs Clemson looks so bad.. but tbh they forced a fumble on a WR that game and scored on it and had the refs not overturned it, they win that game. And they overturned it wrongly. IF you look at what calls for a completion then fumble, everything was checked off, but the refs just decided that even though he took the required 3 steps with it, that it was incomplete.

"He's going to be the model of quarterbacks moving forward". This isn't the first time someone has thought this, and it won't be the last. A lot of this doc harped on how black QBs don't get a fair shot, but it makes sense to me that guys who are extra "athletic" and put themselves in a lot of dangerous situations on the field (due to their athleticism) are questioned and criticized by scouts/ coaches. If Tom Brady and so many other QBs can win without relying on any explosive athleticism, it seems a little ignorant to think that this new prototype is what teams suddenly need. No one wants another Cam Newton situation on their hands.

It seems like you’ve missed the inaccurate presumptions made about black qbs that happen all the time and those are: 1) they lack the intellect and 2) work ethic to be a pro qb. They are athletic and that’s about it, which doesn’t translate to a successful pro qb, according to the ignorant ones. Tom Brady is the best qb of all time so that is an unfair choice to compare any qb to but at the same time, Tom Brady is the exception. In today’s NFL, that athleticism is needed (exclude Tom Brady who is the goat and surrounded by other great players) because players have gotten stronger and faster. Dlinemen are running sub 4.6s so qbs that aren’t athletic, are Matt Ryan…sacked. Look at the other qbs on the best teams/super bowl contenders and they are like athletic like fields. they have become the ideal, model pro qb. If you aren’t looking for a qb like this, regardless of color, you’re more times than not going to be on a losing team and not have a job very long! IMO.
