This is the scope I currently own, and so far I am really impressed with it, what I am more impressed with is the service I got from Shane at Element optics when I emailed them about some questions, responses where fast accurate and extremely generous and great full. I WILL recommend others at least check out the element scopes in the future. Again thank you Shane and every one that works for your company!

Took a chance on the Helix and am very happy with my choice. Put it on my new CZ457 MTR 22 rifle. Very clear, precise and bright. When I get my FX Maverick, I will purchase another.👍

Very impressed with my Helix SFP. Better glass and MUCH better turrets than my Vortex Diamondback Tactical.

Superb scope and like Matt said the turrets are MONEY!!!! wish they made a smaller/lower magnification scope with the same turrets. Best scope money can buy in the price range......if you want to hit your target and not just see it.

Mounted mine on a 6mm Remington after I zeroed it. Used strelok on monkeys at 458meters no problems.

I have just bought mine and put it on my fx streamline. Very good quality and clear optics, but I have a problem. When I zeroed it , I have only 5 mrads to go up. Is it proper? What can I do to fix it , except from buing regulated rings?

So I'll pretty much hit what I'm aiming at if I use the red marked magnification markers? With out an app?
@mts635htr4 жыл бұрын
You should still use a ballistics calculator. The reticle is calibrated at 24x magnification. Example: at 24x magnification, if you need to hold 10 moa for bullet drop, hold at the 10 moa mark. For the same shot at 12x magnification, hold at the 5 moa mark, and at 6x magnification, hold at the 2.5 moa mark. Let me know if that doesn't make sense and I'll try to explain it further or reference another video that explains moa/mrad. Either way, it's an awesome scope. Happy shooting!

Here in India, getting to hold one would take decades of wait. Not only for the cost but the amount of paper work ad legality involved in getting a original scope for a average non competition hobby shooter like me.

Greetings, Matt. I just watched a video by "Cyclops" titled the "Best 6-24x50 Rifle Scopes $500." Comparing seven FFP scopes that made his ranking system, he gave the Helix the lowest marks in the group for tracking (6/10) and glass quality (4/10). He also said the newer (speaking on Jan 23, 2021) FFP Helix's turrets were very good (9/10, but not the top scope in the group), and Element "upped their game." But to me, the implication is that the turrets of the original SFP Helix were not so good. I am new to pellet guns and scopes and bought a Helix SFP a week or so ago. From what you and others have said, I was under the sturdy impression that my scope was at the top of its class price-wise. Now, I am wondering. Does this guy know his stuff? Please respond, and thank you. David

The helix’s tracking precision has always been good from the day we launched (within 1% error over 100 clicks), and nothing has changed on the turrets between the SFP and the FFP. It could be that Joe received an early prototype of the SFP, not a refined production model, but I’m not entirely sure.

@@ElementOptics Thank you very much for the time. You made no comment on the low marks for the optical quality. Should I consider your last sentence an indirect response to this, my top concern? Take care. David
@ElementOptics3 жыл бұрын
The Helix is an entry level scope, and so it will always have lower marks than a higher-end model. Even when comparing within a price bracket, it should be remembered that the Helix is a variable power scope which means there are far more lenses (13) than some other fixed-magnification scopes in the same price range. I don’t think that the Helix has bad optical quality at all for its price, but obviously that is extremely subjective so the best thing would be to watch other independent reviews and decide for yourself based on what you see - There are many great scopecam clips available filmed through the Helix.

David, My Take: Suspicious of cyclops "titty twister" test, not that he has done anything purposefully to cause a failing grade, but the validity, and repeatability of this test. If you noticed, the tracking of the Helix prior to that test was perfect, only during that test was there a question in precision tracking. Looking at other reviewers combined, and adding scopecam footage, optical quality, and brightness shouldn't be of concern. I will see for myself soon, as mine in in que for shipping. Regards Chuck
